About time, I say. I used to follow all the major boxing matches religiously when they aired on terrestrial TV. I still remember seeing Mike Tyson beat Frank Bruno back in 1989, at a time when Tyson was an absolutely devastating machine, seemingly invincible and with a bright future ahead of him.
I have NEVER watched boxing on PPV. Why pay for PPV, when the match could end in 30 seconds? I've always tried to keep up with the videos, though.
There have been so many great boxing matches over time, including the two Frank Bruno/Mike Tyson matches (1989 and 1996), Buster Douglas VS Mike Tyson from 1990, where the underdog Douglas KO'd Tyson, the Lennox Lewis/Mike Tyson match from 2002 and, of course, the Rumble in the Jungle, where Muhammed Ali took on George Foreman in perhaps the greatest boxing match ever.
Yes, it will be nice to have boxing back on terrestrial TV again.
