This is pretty funny, read it. 
I did find a small typo:

It should be at least "1" considering the Vogons. 
Method #2, with "von Neumann" machines, sounds like Stargate SG-1's replicators to me.

A strangelet is the term for a quark with the "strange" flavour (yes, quarks have flavours: up, down, top, bottom, charm, and strange). Strange quarks would be strange matter. There was an episode of Odyssey 5 where an AI wanted to destroy the Earth by using a particle accelerator to generate strange quarks.
