Show the pride you feel for your country here.
Alright this is a little wierd but I think it would be nice to see people show the pride they feel for their country.
Well I'm British so I suppose the pride I feel is when I see a festival with the army martching down the streets of London and the changing of the gaurd ceremony.

I'm from Britain as well, and I'm proud of it in most ways. Some of the laws are a bit silly and so on but our history is good and so are the people,

Of course in the old days(16th and 17th century) we where the masters of the seas, Michiel de ruyter and other great sea heroes defeated the Spanish fleet many times on the seas. Our ships where the best the western world could offer, we where the first country to Trade with China and reached the American shore in 1609 and founded New York City. Now the biggest city in the US.

Yes we left our trademarks all over the world.

of course i shouldn't forget outr dutch lion eighter. The symol of my Country. Actually, as some of you might know The Netherlands is in the Shape of a Lion and we made a trademark out of it. Our dutch Soccer team wears the Lion on their shirts and are of the Color orange which is also a symbol of my country.

Don't forget our ice-skaters though, one of the major prides of our country is Sports. we are quite good at it. You canslo see the Dutch flag on that picture. I love my country.

The England pics have been shown. I love England. No offence or anything but I don't think I could feel the same pride of any other country if I lived there like I do of England. Its just fantastic even though the weathers a bit crap sometimes. God save the Queen!

1/1 agree that England allows us to feel a unique pride but I suppose all countries give that feeling to its enhabitants

I have a great deal of pride for my country. However, more importantly, I feel more of a sense of humility and honour that I was blessed to be born in America, and that I am able to participate in moving our nation forward. I am humbled by the thought that I was so blessed to be born in a country, where I can do anything in, as long as I am willing to put forth the work. Sometimes, whenever I see a Mexican, or a foreigner in public, I just feel honoured that they chose to come to America, and it is exciting to see so many people come to America, bringing their families, ideas, culture, and beliefs to America. It is really indescribable.

This is what I think of when I think of England

(England won the rugby world cup. We're never going to drop the subject.)

England looses at cricket to India and Australia. This is called revenge because we used to own those countries and wouldn't let the Indians have any salt so they sent Ghandi to overthrow us. Australia is made up of criminals we deported, settlers and prison guards. (Strangely, we can beat ex-cons at RUGBY but not cricket...)

Miss India UK!! My part of England is very multicultural with lots of people with Indian and Pakastani heritage. There are many indian clothes shops, jewellers, newagents, halaalh meat shops, Bollywood film rental places and indian radio stations. I'm proud that England is so multicultural, because it shows that race doesn't matter (and it's fun to swear in Punjabi!)

I think its excellent that most people show pride in their country and its heritage,
But,
I hate it when people don't care and don't think of the effects their actions can have on their country and the world as a hole, mentioning no names (Use your imagination).

The Swedish Worker - both now and then. I'm proud of and respect the Swedish men and women who are working and have worked in the past to build this country.

The Swedish flag on a beautiful summer day is also a fine sight.

And a taste of history.

Swedish Karoliner, soldiers during "Stormaktstiden", when Sweden was one of the most powerful nations in the known world. I call them "Bl�rockar"(Bluecoats) sometimes.

Wouldn't say I'm actually "proud" of them, but I think they're kinda cool.

Do NOT mistake me for a nationalist, though, because I certainly am not.

And i'm loving the mounties too cause they also make our country so great.

Except, they don't wear those uniforms anymore, only on special ocasions.(don't think i spelled that right.)

Proud??? Ehm... I don't think I... Hm. how to say this... I don't think I have "the right" to be proud...
I mean... It's not like I've done all this to change my country to the things that it stands for you know.
It's not because of me that this county is... the best country in the world.

And it's not like I've chosen to be born here...

We have a lot of old castle and churches here...
And we have a lot of history... stuff... which is cool (to bad I hate history)

(how the hell did they built something like that without the help of machines!?)

According to... something... sweden is the most... ehm... equal between the genders...

And "we" rock at sciens and education...

...and a lot of sports

(btw sweden beat canada last time.)

...and music of course.
