This is a thread where you can talk about cats (the animals not the musical).
I like cats. I have two called Pebbles and Coco and they are both very stupid but loveable and furry

Have you tried taking her to the vet to make sure there is nothing wrong?
We have a black cat with white patches called Casper He is just over
a year old. he's got dodgy knees which he had an op on and he's only really started jumping in the past couple of months. He also has epilepsy which means we have to put sedatives in his food twice a day. Oh...and he tends to bite you if you pet him when he's sitting down. Still love him though!

My cat Coco chipped off the end of her elbow when she was younger and had to have a 3000 operation to have a metal one installed. I now call her Robo-Cat when she annoys me.

But if they were clones of one cat they would be boring! I'm sure we could breed an army of evil mutant ninja kitties!!!

They are a major burdon here, way too many. I also voted they are manky beasts. The local officals here are passing a law where it would make it ok for people to shoot stray cats and if they can show proof that it is stray that they will get paid 15 dollars per head. It doesn't help that the city council did end their contract with the humane sociaty so they don't come here anymore.

Cats are cute, but i'd MUCH MUCH rather have a dog!! I'm gonna get a shihtzu-poo when i move out! YAY! Besides, as of 2yrs ago i'm allergic to cats. I can be around them no problem, but if i pet them and then rub my eyes, my eyes start to itch.

I like caaaats, but we don't have one anymore. We had our first one, Bodger, for four years before he got run over... he was a ginger tom. Our second, Cleo, was black and soooo cute. She got run over pretty soon after being let outside, My sister cried soooo much, my Mum had to tell her we'd get a different pet that wouldn't go outside and get run over. We have two alsations now.

I don't like cats very much... They scare me and they scratch!
Also, it's not a good idea to have a cat near a pregnant woman. Something about certain cat germs that can be very harmful to the fetus. Any animal that can hurt an unborn child can't be good can it?

That's only cats that haven't been wormed. The worms can harm unborn babies, but dogs carry the worms too. Exposing pregnant women and children to animals is a good thing, because it means they come into contact with lots of different kinds of microbes and develop their immune systems more. I played with animals and dirt lots as a kid and have a brilliant immune system, I have no allergies and I don't get colds as much as everyone else

Yeah, I heard about that on the news. People should be responsible and neuter their animals. Neutered cats don't fight as much and you don't get the whole population problem. I only agree with the killing of cats if the bodies are put to good use (eg. fur coats and dog food).
Who voted for "only if they are properly cooked"?

Where I live in kelso its one of the red zones for cat populations (SP) wherever you look, you can see one. It also poses a annoyence if you have a house cat because they will hang around and meow all the time.

It can also be annoying if strays come in through your cat flap and eat your pet cats food.

Yea thats also a downside the weird thing is that there used to be a over population of dogs here but in the recent years it's like that population has dried up its almost inpossible to find a dog around here.
