Boneheaded stories killed Enterprise. For the life of me, WTF is up with Trip and T'pol message therapy crap? Just another way for a studio to work a "sex" theme into a series? And why in the hell is Commander Tucker this pouty, sad, wimp shuffling around like some teenager who got rejected from a high school tart? For cryin out loud, hes a COMMANDER! What a pansy.

What the Salad Brains at Paramount don't understand is that people wanted to see how the Federation was forged and lead up to TOS. We wanted to see why the "Prime Directive" became such an issue, how and why was the Neutral Zone formed, and so on. We didnt need new Aliens or new catastrophic threats to all humankind (i.e. Suliban and Xindi).

I realize that they were probably going to get to that eventually, but they didn't seem to realize they needed to "hook" the audience immediately. They were developing crap stories as if they had it in the bag to be around for 7 seasons.

Also, why was EVERY FRIGGIN' episode a II or III parter? That tells me that the writing staff is so inept that they can't write short stories. It seemed that the entire season was one long episode; miss an episode and you're lost for the season. No wonder people stopped watching. This is Enterprise, not friggin' 24!

Nope, the series was doomed from Season One. If you are not going to keep in the traditions of Star Trek and instead bore us to death with slow moving plots, dark and sinister sets, and narcissistic characters, then good riddance!

The entire 4 seasons was wasted on threats, exploring, and prolonged romance. Its a shame that details leading up to the birth of the federation, the neutral zone, and the prime directive were never explained in the earlier episodes( to stretch it out) and why the romulans and klingons were not more in a aggressive conflict towards starfleet which was suppose to happen.70 years of unremintant hostility between the klingons, romulans, and starfleet which would establish the neutral zone treaty. So many things to explain in what could have been so many episodes and nothing. Now down to 5 episodes remaining, im afraid if there is an explaination of these future events then it will be a short brief story and no prolonged event.

As for the writers..no comment

ENTERPRISE isn't the only series with II/III Parters you know. Anyway they only started doing that in season 4 to try and heat it up a little bit and they let some other people that make the show take over.

In your opinion yes enterprise probably was doomed from season 1. But in my opinion. I like it. I never started watching enterprise until near the end of season 2 was airing. But yes i do like enterprise. No it's not my favorite but i do still like it. There were problems. Definately. and yes they have had a hell of alot more problems than the other series but it is mainly down to Brannon/Braga. Its actually been proven that they are the main problem. They have worked on Star Trek since TNG but they didn't want to hand the torce over to someone else even know they were completely out of ideas and because of there stupbornness enterprise has had to suffer.

I agree with you that it would have been better to see stuff about the neutral zone etc etc.

I have to admit, I thought all the time travel and new species, especially the Suleban, ruined it.
All filler, no killer...
I thought the sex and vulcans on drugs were good. More of that please
