Star Trek: Enterprise Cancelled!
After four seasons, Star Trek: Enterprise has reached the end of its mission ...
PRESS RELEASE
UPN and Paramount Network Television have jointly announced that this will be the final season of Star Trek: Enterprise on UPN. [Production will continue until the end of this season, which will finish shooting in March.] The series finale will air on Friday, May 13, 2005.
"Star Trek has been an important part of UPN's history, and Enterprise has carried on the tradition of its predecessors with great distinction," said Dawn Ostroff, President, Entertainment, UPN. "We'd like to thank Rick Berman, Brannon Braga and an incredibly talented cast for creating an engaging, new dimension to the Star Trek universe on UPN, and we look forward to working with them, and our partners at Paramount Network Television, on a send-off that salutes its contributions to The Network and satisfies its loyal viewers."
David Stapf, President of Paramount Network Television, said, "The creators, stars and crew of Star Trek: Enterprise ambitiously and proudly upheld the fine traditions of the Star Trek franchise. We are grateful for their contributions to the legacy of Trek and commend them on completing nearly 100 exciting, dramatic and visually stunning episodes. All of us at Paramount warmly bid goodbye to Enterprise, and we all look forward to a new chapter of this enduring franchise in the future."
A prequel to the original "Star Trek" series, STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE premiered on UPN on Sept. 26, 2001, and aired for its first three seasons on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00PM, ET/PT). On Oct. 8, 2004, STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE moved into its current time on Fridays (8:00-9:00PM, ET/PT). Through its four-year run, STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE produced a total of 98 episodes and earned four Emmy Awards."

This is terrible news! First my Firefly, then Farscape, now Enterprise. It seems like the Sci-fi genre is going down.

I suspect it'll be a few years, and then another series will come along. Trek just needs time to regroup and recharge.
In the meantime, there's still SG1, SGA, and BSG.

Im kinda dissapointed its ending. Don't get me wrong, it was a giant screw up, but it still had the potential to fix that blunder. Now we won't get that chance. All they had to was go to Barnes&Nobles and buy the Star Trek Chronlogy book. I see it there all the time. It costs and arm and a leg. You would then have your basis for episode. But NOOOOO. They had to bring in "Fresh ideas"(Ideas ripped off of TNG, DS9, and VOY). They had to smear poo all over continuity. Did they think fans would not notice? *Sigh* RIP ENT.

Or will lose their jobs in the near future, more like. They're going to finish out the season, they just aren't being renewed.

It looks more like it's just finishing at the end of the season, rather than being cancelled.
Lets wait and see now if a better trek series comes along after enterprise.

This is terrible for Star Trek. This has severely weakened startrek and there wont be a new series for a long time! Were just going to have to do with out startrek for a few years!

I think the best thing for trek would be to take a hiatus. Like 5 years with no new trek, come at it fresh. And fire all the people involved with eneterprise, it was an embarassment to trek, although I still watch loyally.

Are you glad that Enterprise is being cancelled.
I think it's a shame it could have been a good serie....
But now they are terminating it.
I hope that they change their minds

Yeah, I'm content with this. I never really liked the show, anyways. Now get Voyager back on!

It's had four years. How much longer is it supposed to take before it's a "good series"?
Good series should be good from the first episode. Firefly was a good series. Wonderfalls was a good series. Battlestar 2005 is a good series. Jeremiah was a good series.
Enterprise......was a series that could have been good, if it had been helmed by people who were not completely burned out on Trek, and unable to write an interesting story without rehashing elements of past episodes.
Now, granted, ENT was improving. If it had been at its current quality level ever since it started, I suspect it would still be going today. But it wasn't. Year 2----and to a lesser extent, year 1----sucked.
Hence, 80% of the show's original viewers left, and hence, there are now fewer than 3 million people tuning in per week, and hence, UPN can't charge as much for ad time during ENT, and hence, they can't afford it.

YAY!! IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, the last episode airs on May 15 and then it's OVER!!
WHEE!!!
Time to bring in another series, if they can scrounge up what's left of their credibility...........
I am definitely not up for saving this show.

I respect you're opinion on Enterprise, but I really don't think we need the negative attitudes in this section for now......please leave us fans to our business for the time being. Gloating is just plain rude.

Just face it, Star trek Enterprise did not fit in with that techo teeny bopper bulimic racial profiling trite on UPN.
It's UPN's loss.
I always thought stereotyping and racial profiling was considered bad. They thought that way in all the Star Treks.
UPN obviously thinks different.

Deep space nine was thought a terrible series until series three and dont forget that voyager was also thought terrible until the end of season 3

True true, i agree with that

Your exagerating a bit there. Enterprise's actual ratings were under 2 million viewers
