Seems Bridge Commander is popular. The only one that I have played is Star Trek:Armada....I find it pretty fun.

I prefer Armada II. My collection of dozens of games is almost 100% RTS.

Armada is a real time strategy game like Age of Empires only it is all in space. It has a story about the Borg but that is bad because the Borg are too easy to beat. They can't adapt or anything and the AI is crap.

The ships are also pretty weak in Armada, I sent a fleet of Sovereign ships to attack the borg and they were all wiped out.

Which can, of course, make for some pretty interesting offensive and defensive battle strategies!

No offense to you or anything, but it's always a bad idea to attack with a group of just one type of unit in RTS games anyways.

yeah when i do it i usually have waves of ships

but when the threat isn't too big i usually have 1 soveriegn, 4 akira, 1 defiant, 1 nebula.

but with the waves u usually have:

wave 1:
2 soveriegn
6 akira

Wave 2:
5 akira
3 defiant

Wave 3:
2 steamrunner
6 nebula

and i keep 3 soveriegn close by just incase

theres loads of strategys the best is, send in a fleet of slow ships these include

Nebula Streamrunner Diamond (the romulan one with tri-cobalt cant remember what its called) the shadow and the klingon weapon ship (mind blank) if you send a fleet of them in you can send two fleets of fast ships 8 defiants and 8 akiras say when they get there have a big battle... and have your sovereigns at the ready or Negh'Var D'Deridex whatever you have cubes are great and send half a fleet or a whole fleet of them in and you should break a big hole into your opponents base the best map for instant action is Junkyard (JUNKY.BZN) if you extend the transoporter range in the RTS.CFG i think thats what its called you can steal the ships commandeer whatever and stage an assault before your opponent (AI) has even built a shipyard, but the best thing is setting the damage to 0 in the RTS.CFG for single player missions you can only get injured (not damaged) by superweapons and things like the ion cannon become useless!!

here are some cheats!

Koyabashimaru (i think) level skip

Canofwhoopass (improved ship intel (your ships)

Avoidance (faster crew production)

Showmethemoney (2000 dilithium)

there you go Armada fans
(ive completed it 5~ish times!)

I have:
Elite Force
Elite Force 2
Armada (never played it)
Armada 2
Dominion Wars

I haven't played all of the Star Trek games so I can't say what I think is the best out of all the games, but I found Elite Force to be the most entertaining.

Why? I mean, don't argue with your dad or anything like that. It could result in a longer "grounding" period. But why?

That game was unusually boring. I thought hacking people to bits would be great, but I wasnt impressed.

I'd say bridge commander. Armada series wasn't bad until you add mods and the computer becomes an idiot type 1.

I never played the Elite force series because first person shoot usually makes me throw up

Played ST DS9 DW but it keeps crashing ... who ever made that game should be fired.

Played Starfleet commander series, loved the first one but then the rest of idiot for some reason, SFC3 was not too bad but i still think it sucks because you can't maneuver your ship the spacy way, plus the weapon discharges wasn't that correct and warp core doesn't blow up

Verdict? Bridge commander is still the best in my books, although i have trouble with their graphics the scripts are quite easy to modify and the ships are spectacular in that game.

Nanobyte, sneak98 THE BEST MODDERS EVER.

Play BC!
