PostTue Jan 18, 2005 11:31 pm    NX-01 built from stolen 24th century technology! *@#%!!

Original, preexisting NX-01 plans scraped due to discovery of 24th century Akira Class wreckage under Antarctic ice!

How an Akira Class starship wound up in the twenty-second century is any bodys guess, but what we do know, is that all Trek history, as we know it, has forever been altered. The Romulan war never even happened, the Romulan threat was crushed in days not years.

Kirks Enterprise dominated every threat it encountered because everything else was primitive in comparison. However due to lack of development in certain technological eras, because there was now no need (because of said Akira tech.), in the second Romulan War, that destroyed the Enterprise-C, in the early 24th century, the federation was completely crushed!

The Earth is now completely dominated by the Romulan Star Empire, but dont worry, the resistance is building fast and the Romulans powerful new Death Star, Battle Station will be crushed. The Klingons and the Vulcans are amassing a rebel fleet as we speak!

Heh, I havent liked a storyline yet. The only good one was the temporal cold war, WHICH THEY ENDED. It wasnt that good though. And all the inconsistencies, were just so...horrible.

So yes, Enterprise ruined Trek.

I think the creators made the enterprise so much like an akira class because the akira class is one of the most popular class of starship with the startrek fans. Kinda shame tho probly means we will never see a series based around akira.

I do like enterprise but it is just SO different from startrek, quite annoying sometimes.

Enterprise did not ruin Star Trek, the writers did.

I didnt, I got them from Ex Astris Scientia, the ultimate Star Trek information resource. Its the most extensive Trek web-site ever made, a compendium of all Trek knowledge. If Ex Astris Scientia doesnt have it, it has a link to it, so its never out of date.

STAR TREK:Enterprise hasn't ruined Star Trek at all, it's the stuck-up fans that don't even bother giving the show a chance, that ruin it for themselves.

So what if there are similarities in the design of the NX and Akira Class Starships? Did ya ever think that it could go the other way around? Maybe, the makers of the akira class, chose that design, because it worked well!!! That makes more sense then any of the lame reasons for why Star Trek: Enterprise supposedly sucks.

Well, well into the 4th season now. I'm pretty sure were all past the 'giving it a chance' part by now, that is normal for any new series.

Most of the anti-Enterprise don't even bother though, they just automatically look for what is bad, then go on the same old rant, that ends up being about the same old stuff, and quite frankly, it's a little tiring, and annoying. It's the same from every person, and I honestly haven't seen one argument yet that doesn't have holes all over the place in it's logic.

Dont get me wrong, I love Enterprise, I mean, who can resist a show with doctor Samuel Becket as the captain of a starship. I just dont consider it Star Trek, its not even canned Star Trek and the credits just say based upon Star Trek. For me Enterprise is Enterprise and not Star Trek, it rocks that way.

i have a few things to say on this:
1. To "memyselfandI":I watched the show for 3 sesions, i gave it enough of a shot, IT JUST RUINS A HOLE BUNCH OF STUFF
a. One CONTACT with borg, in TNG that was the frist siting of borg,
b. Contactwith the big eared short ppl that are opseed with profit, yet agian, in TNG that was supose to be the FRIST contact

2. I agree that this show is a shame to all that is trek
3. I never tought to look, but yes the NX is way to simular to the AKIRA
*to the creators* BE MORE ORGINAL!
4. I also herd that some of the writers of the show are acutally the Actors from past series, they know nothing of trek, hell i bet i know more about a warp core then the chick that played belanna in VOY does.

me, myself, and i: finaly i meet some one who likes enterprise for what it is

and it was a borg sphere remains they found on the artic ice. as for the borg and ferengi? hmmm... well weve seen events changed by time travle, and we know that the ferengi "meet" some one before the other party does cause of their salvageing operations. the borg hmm i dont know perhaps it wasnt considerd a real 'contact" and records can be lost

Don't forget in enterprise it is set in a different time line. This is set in the timeline which was created in first contact.

And in TNG the borg were a myth until the Enterprise-D actually came across a borg cube.

and yes some of the directors and everything are old startrek actors.

but most of the people that work behind the scenes on enterprise werent actually into startrek until they created season 1 of enterprise. So that is another reason fr all of the problems thats been happening because they are not die hard fans of the other series. So in a way. They are pretty much flying blind when they make the show.

Thats what is annoying. They cover up their constant blunders by saying it was the fault of FC. You're right about them not knowing anything about ST. I believe one of the ST producers prided himself on the fact he DIDN'T know anything about ST. Why was he put in charge!?

except for the bottom part (where the saucer is in ur creation) its cool, they may have teh better hull, but wouldnt know the desgin, besides kirks ship looks way more smoother than the nx-01 so there is a more primitive design there

1. "it ruins a hole bunch of stuff" Is that all you can say? It doesn't ruin a thing, if you actually pay attention to the show. All these supposed "cannon violations" can easily be explained.
a. They saw the borg, yes, but they never found out their names, or didn't even get that much information off of them. The info probably just would go in the books as. "Unknown species, part organic, part inorganic." That's about all they could have gotten.
b. They saw the ferengi, but again, they didn't get a species name, or even any info, so what the hell are they gonna put in the record books.

2. Shame to all of Trek. If you call Enterprise a shame to all of Trek, you are just nuts. It may not be the best there has been, but I have definitely seen parts of other series, that were nowhere near as good as some of the episodes I have seen. And by the way, if you haven't noticed, it is Star Trek: Enterprise, when listed in TV guide, and when UPN mentions it, I know somethings were said about that.

3. Be more original. Ya ever think, that if Star Trek was a real timeline, that maybe, possibly, they based the Akira on the NX class, because it was simply a good design? So what if it's similar? Who cares? Does anyone complain because all of the Klingon ships look exactly the same? I think not.

4. You heard wrong. The writers are Primarily Reeves-Stevens I believe, (I think those are the names) but, not one ex actor has written an episode. Levar Burton has directed a few, but that's it.
