I heard it was a great game. Is it true you can be the Axis powers? Can you also be the British and Russians?

Yes, you can. But if you refer to single player campaigns, you are limited to American, British, and Russian. In multiplayer, you get to be all 5 choices, depending on the map.

I wish you could play as the Germans! It would be so awesome to see what it would be like if the Germans won WW2! In a game, not for real. That would suck I play it almost every day. Just finished playing it about 2 hours ago. Everything seems much more intense when you're with the Russians, all those explosions and artillery barrages...

*Looks at the Game Sitting on the shelf.*

Yes I do! I have it for Gamecube! At first when I looked at gaming website they gave the game low scores but when I tried it, I thought different. Its fun having a differnt view of the war and not always playing as the americans, its also fun becuase you get a little peep at all the jobs of the war. For one mission you can be raw infintry, the next a sniper!

I'm thinking about playing the game in a few hours.

Lol i'm playing it right now, on my other computer I love it when the Russians start screaming when they charge the Germans. Just played that "Victory or Death!" part.

I tried playing online once. I didn't give myself a name so I was brought into the game as "Unknown Soldier" and somebody else had that name so I got kicked out for "name stealing"

Most servers (including mine) will automatically kick any player with "Unkown Soldier." Really though, you should play online with me sometime. Its loads of fun.

Might just do that. I don't play a lot of games on the internet, usually because of how slow it goes. I was only in that game for like 30 seconds. It was going pretty well. So what all can you play on multiplayer? CTF? Last man standing? Deathmatch?

There are several options.

1. Deathmatch - all out killing.
2. Team Deathmatch - teamed all out killing.
3. Search and Destroy - round based, planting the bomb at one of two targets.
4. Retrieval - round based, trying to capture two items, and returning them to the drop zone.
5. Headquarters - timed round based, trying to hold a point against the other team.
6. Capture the Flag - self explanatory, not round based.

Round based simply means that if you die, you wait for the next round to be able to play again.

All out killing, when you die, you immediately respawn.

Timed round based means you play the game in 45 second increments, and if you die, you wait for the next 45 second increment to be up, then you respawn. Also, whoever holds the point at the end of that, gets points.

My brother got it once at a LAN party, but we had to wipe our hard drive and we lost it. But my brother and I bought Call of Duty and United Offensive with Christmas money, and I like, I like it a lot!

I do have a Question, can you add bots to the multiplayer matches.

Hey Defiant, why don't you like United Offensive? I thought it was pretty sweet, and I like watching the Russians run the Germans out of Kharkov, or wherever it was. The only thing I hated about it was when you're Doyle and the bomber breaks in half and you have to land in enemy territory, that you don't get captured. It would have been so sweet to choose whether or not to answer interrogation questions and get tortured if you don't, and later be rescued.

(Heh, first Star Trek Gaming post of 2005 )

There is no way to add bots to a multiplayer server.

And I dont dislike UO, I just like the original better. The expansion is so...battlefield. Its cool and all, but I like the original way better, especially since I rule all at it.

You mean they expose themselves by running out into the open so you can pick em off one by one with a sniper rifle? No sense of self-preservation I guess, course it is just a game.

It's annoying on the first Stalingrad level, because you never get the rifle. Instead you get ammo. 5 shots. And the guy with the rifle has only 5 shots. That means 10 bullets for each pair. What the hell were they thinking? So much for "Plenty of ammunition!"

I dont think you can melee with the ammo. But I do know you can beat the *beep* out of people with any gun. I know its obvious fact, its just cool because I do it alot.
