You'll get a kick of this Republican Man

There is a far superior, better tested, and more ethical treatment for all neurological conditions using what are called LBS-Neurons.
Essentially there is an alternative to Embryonic stem cells when it comes to treating pyschiatric disorders and mental illness, that has no ethical problems associated with it, is drasticly cheaper, has been successfully tested on human and animal subjects with positive results, the majority of the research has already been done, has already gone through phase II clinical trials, and the research is being suppressed.

LBS-Neurons are derived from a teratocarcinoma, which is a form of a prostate tumor derived from germline stem cells. What they do is they differeniate teratocarcinomas into neurons using retinoic acid, a derivative of vitamin A. The differeniated stem cells turn into non-dividing neurons, which can then be used to repair stroke damage, without the fear of a tumor. They work(from what I have read) just as well, if not better, than regular neurons, and they can be frozen for storage and shipment, a property which regular neurons do not exhibit.
Most important(from my perspective, and I study neurology ALOT), is that the neurons seem to become cortical neurons when ya place them in the cerebral cortex, and neurons for the hippocampus or wherever else in the deep limbic system whenever you place them next to limbic neurons.

For the conservatives this is great(if they will take a hold of it), because this means you can effectively derail some of the argument for the use of stem cells. Because if this works with the creation of neurons for treatment of neurological conditions, it may work with treating spinal cord injuries as well. By heavily funding this, this could alleviate alot of the public pressure there is for embryonic stem cell research, while not at all compromising conservative ethics.

I am hoping conservatives, once they learn of this, will latch on and this will be developed as a cure for mental disorders, especially my own.
I come from the more liberal side of the ball park, and this seems to be infinitely better than embryonic SCs, the results of ESCs on people with parkinsons in China so far have been horrific, and the results didn't last very long either, from what I have read from some people that have had the operation done.

Stroke cost the united states 42 billion dollars a year.
Schizophrenia cost the United states 50 billion dollars a year.
It suprises me that the research was allowed to get this far, seeing how cozy a relationship the FDA has with pharmicutical companies(if you don't believe me just read about the Vioxx scandal).
