Yeah, I too kind of preferred the non-singing themes. They seemed nicer and better...

I like the instrumentals a lot better too, but the Enterprise theme song is really good too.

Just because it's different doesn't make it bad.

I'll have to listen to it again. Since they ended the season I haven't watched it and I kind of forgot exactly how it sounds lol.

Ogod I hate the drums, they ruin everything. And also the change from dur to moll. I mean, you cant do something in dur and then just change it. It's just bound to be crap...

Three years ago, right after the ENT premiere so many people upset at the theme song. Posting this topic on forums. Signing online petitions to get it changed. Heh.

I think it would be awesome if they used the Top Gun Anthem.

The biggest problem with Ent is the theme song??? How about the continuity issues?!?
I actually liked the theme song, words and all. Its one of the things that made it unique in the Trek mythos. It was also a very poignant. A great choice for a opening theme; though I have to admit that I haven't heard the new version yet.
As to the other stuff....for instance the contact witht the Klingons in the Pilot, "Broken Bow", is not what has been established as history by the previous Trek incarnations (the first contact with the Klingons was horrible and ended up with a war). The amount of tech that they have on there seems all wrong too. I mean, I know that we have beeter SFX now than when TOS was aired, but it doesn't seem that believable to me. Ok for our amout of tech nowdays, its seems believable, but in the continuity of the series it doesn't. They are more high tech than Kirk, etc. And then there is introducing the Ferengi in the show...I know that they weren't named in the episode, but still. Ugh!! It just bothers me is all.
Don't get me wrong from the episodes I have seen, the characters are well developed and the storylines are well written; it just that they are tampering with established facts of "history" and it bothers me. There needs to be more internal consistency on the show.
Ok, just my two slips
Safe journeys,
Phade

I actually love the new song. I was a bit shocked that they changed it from instrumental. But then again DS9 and VOY were a break from TOS and TNG: no "To boldly go where no one has gone before..."

I don't like the Enterprise theme myself, then again, I don't like pop music. But beyond that, I think it really disrupts the feeliong of the show, I mean, when you see the intro, it just doesn't "feel" like a Trek series.
In my opinion, the best Trek theme ever was Voyager's.
