Journal Of The U.S.S. Adventurer-X2-7468 (PLEASE LOCK)

[Curtis]

Prologue:

The year is 3030, and Captain Curtis Skenandore has just awakened in a Starfleet Hospital...only to see the Starfleet Fleet Admiral standing by him.

"Greetings captain," said the admiral.

"Greetings sir," replied Curt.

"I'll make this quick. Captain, I've been thinking of retiring for several years now; however, I never had the right captain to promote since you vanished. Then, out of the blue, you come back to us and in a day you are nearly recovered. What I'm trying to say Curtis is...would you like to take over as head of Starfleet?"

"Why, yes...yes admiral, it would be my honor."

"Good," answered the admiral. The admiral then took off Captain Skenandore's old pips and replaced them with his own. "I'd also like to inform you that we have taken as many pieces of the old Adventurer-X as we could find since her decommissioning and we have a new vessel...the U.S.S. Adventurer-X2-7468. We were also wondering, would you like to be the first head of Starfleet to be the commanding officer aboard a starship? You wouldn't be alone, Captain James Remus would be your first officer."

"Again, it would be my honor...Jack."

With that, Jack gave one more salute to the new admiral and turned on his heels and left. Then, Curt returned to his pad he was working on to become fully recovered for his new mission.

Months later, Admiral Skenandore entered the bridge, sat in his command chair, and prepared himself and the ship for departure...while meeting some of his crew in the process.

Sorry this was so short, but I didn't have a lot of time and I just wrote what i had prepared . Chapter One will be on it's way shortly, until then, hope you all enjoy the Prologue .

Chapter One:

The next day, Admiral Skenandore entered the bridge and made his way to the command chair; where he pressed a series of buttons to announce the entire ship:

=^= Greetings everyone. I am Fleet Admiral Curtis Skenandore, and I will be your comanding officer as Captain james Remus will be my first officer. Listen I am announcing you all today before our departure for a reason, so here goes. Ladies and Gentleman...and even little children, we are about to depart from spacedock and continue the main mission of starfleet; however, let us not forget those who died, both in the present and the past, to give us this opportunity and let us thank Starfleet Medical; because without them I wouldn't be here today. Let us remember the journeys of both the U.S.S. Voyager and the U.S.S. Adventurer-X and their crews, for they have done so much for Starfleet and us. Lastly, let us always remember that we are here..."To Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone Before." Thank you and good luck to us all, Skenandore out. =^=

With that, Curt hit a single button and ended the communication. He then sat down in his chair and turned his attention to his helmsman...who was looking right at him.

"Well, here I am again, new crew and all. Take us out ensign...full impulse."

"Aye sir," replied the ensign. The docking clamps were then removed from Adventurer-X2 and she began to slowly move out, then she was fully out.

"We're all clear sir, where to?" asked the ensign.

"The outer reaches of space ensign, warp 6...engage."

The Adventurer-X2 started to hum as her engines charged and when they were fully charged, the Adventurer-X2 was launched like a rocket and left behind only a vertical stream of light...now on her way to begin her mission.

Sorry if this seems kind of short, I hope the next one is longer. For now, please enjoy...and let me know what you think so far.

Chapter Two:

"Alter course Mr. Thornberry," came Admiral Skenandore's voice from his command chair. "New heading...the Deltic Expanse."

"Sir?" asked Lieutenant (JG) Benjamin Thornberry, perplexed.

"I have to agree with the lieutenant sir," replied Captain James Remus. "Why on earth would we want to return there after so many years?"

"Now everyone," answered Curt. "I know what you are thinking, but think of this. The Deltic Expanse has been quiet, too quiet, for several years now and the last time this area was explored was by Captain Jonathan Archer and the U.S.S. Enterprise NX-01 crew. If we go explore there now, we could find new life there...or maybe nothing at all. We will never know unless we explore and so that is why I chose that area."

"Aye sir," replied Ben. "Course laid in, altering ship's position."

Slowly, the U.S.S. Adventurer-X2 began to turn while in warp and was now heading toward the expanse.

"Mr. Franklin, are all tactical systems fully operational?"

"Affirmative sir," replied Lieutenant (JG) Tidus Franklin. "But it would be nice if we could test out our new torpedo bays and phaser banks."

"Don't worry lieutenant, I'm sure we'll get our chance. Geordi, how is everything reading on engines and other systems?"

"Everything reading at 100%, weapons/shields/and armor at 0% though...until activated," answered Lieutenant-Commander Geordi LaForge.

"Good."

Curt then tapped his comm badge.

=^= Bridge to Commander Adams. =^=

=^= Adams here sir. =^=

=^= How is everything going down on your deck? =^=

=^= All shuttle bays and shuttles are ready for use, Delta Flyer IV had some problems though and she is undergoing repairs. As for the Transporters and Holodecks they are fully operational sir. =^=

=^= Good. Skenandore out. =^=

Curt then hit a few buttons on his command chair.

=^= Skenandore to Sickbay. Come in Mr. Radcliffe. =^=

=^= Everything down here is fine admiral. I am currently upgrading somethings and repairing other equipment. I will give you a full report later. =^=

=^= Alright. Bridge out. =^=

Admiral Skenandore now turned to his Operations officer.

"Tuvak, give me a full scan of the Expanse and report to me the readings that you find by 0600 hours."

"Aye sir," replied Lieutenant (JG) Angela Tuvak. "Scanning now, the report will be in your Ready Room by 0600 sir."

"Good. Now everyone, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride for now. We will get a chance to test everything in a matter of time...very soon after we return to the Expanse I fear."

With that, the entire bridge crew, and the entire ship, returned to their duties while enjoying the ride.


There we go, Chapter Two is done and Chapter Three will be on the way shortly. Hope everyone enjoys.

Chapter Three:

Suddenly, the OPs counsole started to bleep like mad.

"Ms. Tuvak?" asked Curt. "Report."

"Scanners are picking up three unknown vessels waiting for us in the Expanse sir," replied Angela. "They seem to be just sitting there and waiting."

"Understood, Mr. Franklin...power weapons and raise shields, we'll save the armor for now."

"Aye sir," replied Tidus. Tidus then tapped several buttons on his console to charge weapons.

"ETA Mr. Thornberry?" asked James.

"We should be arriving...now captain," replied Ben, as the Adventurer-X2 dropped out of warp on his consoles command.

Suddenly, the Adventurer-X2 shook, once...then again.

"Evasive manuvers," said Christine as she entered the bridge. "Return fire Tidus."

"Aye ma'am," he replied.

The crew then heard a slight hum as the ship charged the phasers and just as fast fired them. Then, the Adventurer-X2 released two of her quantum and photon torpedos...disabling the enemy ships.

"Raise them Angela," said Curt.

"Channel open...they're responding," replied Tuvak. "On screen."

=^= You are Starfleet? Then, you should know why...especially after being here years ago. Allow us to beam aboard admiral and we can discuss "trade" options. =^=

=^= I think not captain, not after the stunt you just pulled. What sort of things do you need though? =^=

=^= Weapons mostly, however, we do like some of the coils around your warp core. =^=

=^= Weaponry we may be able to assit you with, but our coils...no. =^=

=^= So be it, we will take them by force...return fire again!!! =^=

With that, the viewscreen went blank and the Adventurer-X2 shook rapidly this time...the enemies fired torpedos.

"Deploy armor!" exclaimed Curt. "I hate to do this but we have no choice...finish them."

Will the Admiral and the Adventurer-X2 finish off the enemies...or will they allow them to live? Read Chapter Four to find out more (coming soon).

Tell me about it. I was thinking of closing it down and posting more of an actual journal sort of thing...where the crew could post lol. Just a thought at the moment though.
