With Silik's help, Archer hones in on the temporal operative who altered Earth's past and threatens to destroy all of time.

The Spoiler wrote:
Archer reunites with his astonished Enterprise crew and learns from Daniels on his deathbed that a radical Temporal Cold War faction threatens to obliterate the timeline. Archer returns to the Nazi-occupied eastern United States of the 1940s, and enlists the help of resistance fighters Alicia Travers and Carmine to destroy a massive time machine under construction on the surface.

Meanwhile, hoping to forge an alliance with Archer, alien leader Vosk releases his captured prisoners Tucker and Mayweather, but this forces temporal agent Silik to emerge from the shadows to pursue his own agenda against Vosk.

I felt, given the level of criticism I wish to promote for my review, I'll do it to the style of http://www.firsttvdrama.com/enterprise

Mayweather: Wow! I must have gotten at least... 3 or 4 minutes of airtime this episode!
- Point made.

Archer: In 1916, history got screwed up too, but that's not important. We must stop these really bad aliens in this time period.
- Missed opportunity? Hell yeah! They talked about how history was also changed in 1916 while discussing the possibility that Vosk and his gang was not responsible for what happened? ... These extra plots don't write themselves. They could have easily thrown in an extra plot trying to discover just who was responsible for those events.

Vosk: No really, if you help us, I can send you back to your century, even though I don't know the date, correct your timeline, even though I appeared after another history-altering event occured without my knowledge, AND I'll even give you this little gremlin doll for your wife and kids. So what do you say, pard'ner?!
- What happened? He went from being baddie to nice guy? ... Whatever...

Tucker: And in 1916, Beer ran rampant through America too! Go Vosk for not being there! We would hate to think we spent all that time being detectives when it was you all along!
- Why was this section turned into few throwaway lines anyway? What was the point of even bringing it up if nothing was to be done with it? Why was it even discussed when the big reset button corrected the problem anyway, even though Vosk had nothing to do with those events!

Silik: I'm going to wait until AFTER we beam down into the middle of a street in New York to shapeshift into human form, because B&B told me to.
- Whatever

Vosk: Blah blah blah... And when we get back to our time period, we'll celebrate our campaign with cheap German booze which we traded for expensive plasma guns.
- What the hell? Another bad guy giving another pointless speech?! Frankly, they already know they are bad guys... or were they just doing this to give Tucker something sweet to listen to while he was sneaking around? In that case, excellent job, Vosk. Your crew was excellent as pretending Tucker was never in the room. ^_^

Archer: My starship can do somersaults, roll over and even play dead in an atmosphere!
- In Star Trek: The Original Series, running into the atmosphere would have destroyed the ship. Shuttles could effectively go through an atmosphere, provided they were careful.
- In Star Trek: The Next Generation, they needed shields just to survive the atmosphere when going in, however the Enterprise saucer section did survive a quick descent in "Generations", but it was not designed to perform maneuvers in an atmosphere.
- In Star Trek: Deep Space 9, the Defiant could enter and perform maneuvers provided they were very high up in a planet's atmosphere, like the gas giant in "Starship Down". The Defiant was a small ship, but they dared to try that only once. Even Sisko had to call O'Brien to tell him that they were taking the ship into the atmosphere... so it sounds like that would not be a normal event for the Defiant.
- In Star Trek: Voyager, the featured starship could navigate inside an atmosphere, but it was not designed for fancy maneuvers. They had to fly in careful lines, and not go all over the place.

Now... we get to the fun part...

In Enterprise, T'Pol takes a heavily damaged Enterprise through and into the planet's atmosphere, performs several maneuvers and flies only a matter of kilometres above New York city. The crew didn't even looked surprised that the ship would have to fly inside a nebula, so it looked as though it was a regular occurance for them. It sounds to me like surpassing TOS technology is not the issue, but now they can surpass even the TNG era...

Reed: 3 Torpedoes too much? Of course not, we gotta make sure the building gets destroyed and I just loooove firing weapons.
- Whatever happened to Reed's comment in "The Expanse" that a photonic torpedo could put a 3km crater into an asteroid? If one torpedo can do that much damage, why use 3? But then again, that episode was the only time they ever discussed variable yields...

Archer: Look out Silik! There is a Nazi with a pistol walking up behind you! Look Look Look! Oh no... He's going to shoot you! Come on, Silik! You took out all those Nazis, and now you're going to let him- *BANG BANG BANG* ... never mind...
- What the hell? He takes out several Nazis in a well-executed maneuver, but he gets himself shot by some guy who was walking up to him? Plus, add the fact that Silik was also armed? Come on!!!

Archer: I wanna stop those really evil temporal agents, but we gotta avoid harming any civilians, okie?
- According to T'Pol, while talking to Archer via communicator, the targeting scanners were malfunctioning, so there were required to take the ship into Earth's atmosphere and fire close-range. Despite problems, they to hit the facility bullseye with 3 photonic torpedoes...? I would have given it a much better rating if they missed with one of the torpedoes missed and slammed into an apartment complex full of people they killed (Only to have them brought back after the timeline corrected itself, so no one would have died either way).

Reed: I see them... Non-threatening German aeroplanes with fancy-dancy plasma guns we don't know about. Nothing our superior starship can't handle.
- Then why even bother with firing at them if they aren't such a threat? They were firing plasma guns which weren't even doing any real damage to the ship as things were. If they managed to blow a nice hole in the ship, or even shot off one of the fragile nacelles, then it would make sense to take them out. But once again we have another wasted opportunity, since Enterprise was due for repairs next episode anyway. Or maybe it was a prime opportunity for B&B to take out more eeeeevil Germans.

Daniels: You managed to correct the timeline, but I couldn't restore your ratings to the point they were in Broken Bow... Oh wait they were very low then... In that case, the timeline has been fully restored.
- Preventing Vosk from returning to the future reset the timeline, but shouldn't this only affect whatever events he altered, not the events of the throwaway line discussing 1916, but we'll just pretend that scene never happened.

Archer: Daniels, you said that all of the events were reconstructing themselves, and you try to protect the timeline, but you don't even get rid of the Xindi weapon? Much less make sure to Berman and Braga never get hired? I can't believe they made you a temporal agent!
- After all, the Xindi weren't supposed to know about the events in the future, which was the reason why they built the weapon in the first place, correct? However, Vosk was not involved in those events, so we can let this one slide. But then again, he wasn't involved in the events of 1916 either, but that was corrected too...

Forrest: Yeah, all our ships were out somewhere doing something not important when the Xindi weapon showed up because we wanted to make it so that Archer could blow himself up and end up in the 1940s without any real explaination as to how it even happened. But luckily by the time Enterprise got back, we got our Starfleet back to Earth and even threw in a few Vulcan ships to greet them...? I can't believe I am stuck at a deskjob! I should be writing the stories!
- Okay, so no one happened to be around when Archer took on the Xindi weapon, but how the hell did they manage to assemble all those ships for when Enterprise returned home so they could rip-off Voy: Endgame? Where were they when we needed them?!?!?! ... Jeez... Someone fire the writers!

Written by Kuro-chan and Fleet Admiral Josh.

(I'll add more as I feel like it)

As for my personal rating, this episode gets 4/10.

Storm Front Part II was a good episode I thought; it was an Improvement on the first part of the show. The show kicked off at the perfect part, which is now a blur after sleeping and not recording the entire episode on VHS. The episodes Ran together perfectly, and didnt leave anything that was major out of the plot line. The part about trying to make Daniels the bad guy and the Grey scale Alien the good guy was a little hard to believe. Archer has dwelt with Daniels and has helped him from time to time in Enterprise and he has never been erased from history that he knows of yet.

Having Silik as one of the main characters on the show was awesome. Having Silik die wasnt the best but because it was a screwed up timeline episode, there is a huge chance that he will appear on a later episode. Having Silik switch with Trip was good, No one was going to expect it. When they were in sickbay I though that it was trip only with some kind of tracking devise from the Grey Alien, but I was wrong. It was a lot better with Silik being there.

If Archer will remember is another thing. All that Daniels would have to do is erase that from his history and he could use Archer gain, now after all that Jonathan has been though, he asked Daniels at the very end of the show not to ever ask him again for any more help in anyway. Without Archer, what will happen to the TCW? I doubt that it is 100% over yet. I am glad that they are not making it into a whole series like they did with the Xindi Attack in Season 3. With the TCW over, Archer and the Crew of the USS Enterprise has finally made it home after there business with the Xindi, in the right time.

I give this Episode: 9 out of 10. It kept me watching with some suspense but it still wasnt the best that it could have been.

I saw the middle and end of it. If the beginning was anything like the end......holy crap. This was yet another let down. It had cool aspects. The actors did great. The story was interesting. The thing I hate was the mess ups. Like Kuro-chan said. The ship going into the atmosphere. I guess the ships start off powerful than degrade over time?

The Temporal Cold War was now over? All of this was because of Vosk? They didn't even fully explain it. The Cold War was like a large focal point of the first and second season. People got bored of it. So what did they do? They just wrapped it up in two episodes. Is Vosk the future guy that talked to the Suliban?

5/10

I forgot about Future Guy. Thanks, Founder.

And you're right, he seemed to disappear from the scenario right after "The Expanse"

My issue is that Enterprise (based on design and from what we have seen in episodes) should not be capable of even properly entering an atmosphere without taking significant damage, compounded by the fact that she has taken critical damage and it almost falling apart at the seems.

My other issue is that Enterprise was free-flying around New York like it was a regular occurance!!!

What are you talking about? They fall into the atmospher and are destroyed kinda. They don't function that way. Even if that is the case it doesn't matter. Because its been established Starships don't function in the atmosphere in the future shows.

I was VERY disappointed with this episode. Nothing exciting or cool, everything worked out in the end, total *beep*. I hated it. It leaves nothing for later.

Saw both storm front episodes. I still don't at all understand where the nazi storyline fits into the xindi or temp cold war situation.

The only good thing about the episode was the amazing scene where the enterprise is flying above the buildings in new york shooting down those planes.

It's not a nazi storyline, technically. Vosk and his gang allied with the Germans so they could obtain the resources they needed to build their timegate. (While they setup their base near the front lines, instead of deep in German territory where they could work on the project a lot more safely, but in the world of Enterprise, they only shoot scenes in the US.)

I'll agree in the visual sense that Enterprise flying above New York City is well-done, but as a concepts, I thought it sucked.

I thought this episode was crap. What pissed me off the most was seeing the enterprise flying around New York. that was just pathetic. i know some people may argue that i could do that because they say that voyager was the first ship to be able to land on a planet but i still think it's stupid and wrong and if ships are just being able to do that in the 24th century then they defiantely wont be able to do it in the 22nd century.
