Ok. This may suck, and it may not. Point is, it's 1:40 in the morning, I can't sleep, and I had a brilliant idea for a fanfic. No, it's not football. Just so you know, this was inspired by some story on a website that I started reading, but I forgot the link. So, here goes.

Chapter 1

Captain William Riker walked onto the bridge of the USS Voyager A, a Galaxy class starship. Seeing this bridge brought back so many memories. From the first time he had walked onto this bridge, and had seen the love of his life, Deanna Troi again, to the last time he had seen it, the saucer section on Veridian 3. How he had wanted that specific chair. There were rumors that they had taken the chair out of the Enterprise D, put it in here, and replaced the other one, but Riker knew that they were false. He walked down to the Captain's chair, and sat beside his new First Officer, Commnader Chakotay. To his left was Deanna Riker, his wife. He looked forward. At ops was Harry Kim, and at the helm was Tom Paris. Behind him, he knew, was Tuvok, a vulcan, and behind Tuvok was B'Elanna Paris Torres, half-klingon, half-human, and the wife of Tom Paris. Riker had walked onto this bridge, and sat down in this chair many times before, but this time was different. The Voyager A was about to launch on it's maiden voyage. But, to evry up, was a down. This would be a boring mission. Observing some sort of anomoly that had appeared. he knew this was to test the sensors, but still, it was boring. "Ensign Kim, are we clear to leave space dock?" asked Riker. Kim looked back. "It's Lieutenant, sir, and yes, we are." "Oh, that's right. Sorry about that." replied Riker. "Lieutenant Paris, take us out." "Aye sir." replied Paris. The ship started slowly moving forward. It then left spacedock. Torres Paris left the bridge, and went down to engineering. "Lay in a course for the anomoly, and engage." said Riker. "Aye, sir. Course laid in." replied Paris. Moments later, the ship jumped into warp.

Admiral Grey sighed. The Avenger whouldn't be out here doing this sort of work. It should be fighting battles. They were scanning for an anomoly that had appeared out of nowhere. Suddenly a technician spoke up. Blast! He could never remember his name. "Sir, we found the anomoly." "And?" asked Grey impatiently. "As far as we know, sir, it could be some kind of portal." replied the technician. "Big enough for the ship to go through?" asked Grey. "Yes." replied the tech. "Would we be able to go through now?" asked Grey. "Yes, but I wouldn't reccomend it. At least, not until we know more about it." replied the Tech. Grey turned around and sighed again. He could now see the anomoly. Since he was on the bridge, it looked as if some sort of weapon was heading towards the bridge. But this weapon would never move. It would be no threat to his Star Destroyer.

Riker sighed. Even though he finally had his new ship, he was still unhappy. The first mission was to scan some anomoly that had appeared. He knew it was a test of the sensors, but, it was still boring, "Commander, you have the bridge." He said. Riker stood up, and went to his ready room. He had nothing to do. Normally, right now, he would be working on the crew list, but that was the job of a First Officer. He was a Captain. He leaned back in his chair, and sighed again.

Grey was getting impatient. He had a feeling that this anomoly was some kind of a portal, but he had to make sure. He looked back to the tech. The tech and hsi crew were hard at work. Grey looked back out at the anomoly. What was it? Why was it there? And, most importantly, would it be of any military use to the Empire? These and many other questions cycled through his mind. He waited for the tech to find something out.

So, what do you all think about it so far?

Ok. The last section was pretty short (Damn cold). I'll try to make this one longer.

*Riker stood up, and walked out onto the bridge of Voyager. He sat down in his chair. "ETA to the anomoly?" he asked. "5 minutes." Paris said. Riker leaned back in his chair. 5 minutes, and he would be even more bored than he was right now. But, little did he know, in 5 minutes, the last thing going through his mind would be boredom.

Grey sighed. Hve the he'd give the techs 5 minutes before he had them take the Star Destroyer elsewhere, maybe even through the anomoly. "Sir! The anomoly has begun moving!" the tech exclaimed. "Toward us?" asked Grey. "No, it's moving away from us." replied the tech. "Track it." said Grey.

The anomoly, which had seemed so innocent at first, had now begun moving. It moved directly into the path of Voyager. When the ship came out of warp, it would go directly through the anomoly.

"Dropping out of warp, now." Paris said. "Sir! The anomoly moved! We're going to collide with it!" Kim exclaimed. "Evasive maneu...." Riker was cut off. The ship had entered into the anomoly. It only took a few seconds, but for Voyager's crew, it seemed to take a lifetime.

So, what do you all think?

"Something is coming through the anomoly!" the tech exclaimed. "Have the gun crews ready." Grey said.

Voyager came through the rift. As soon as they had entered, the shields had gone up. After they came through, they were pummeled again. This time, by weapons fire.

Grey watched in satisfaction and wonder as each shot hit this odd ship. It should be destroyed soon. A smug grin came on his face.

"Turn the front towards that fire!" Riker yelled. The screen finally refocused, and they got a good view of the ship. It was tirangular, firing green bolts toward Voyager.

Grey studied this ship. The front section was circular, but then it came back into a thin strip. In the back, two glowing pieces were attached to the ship. The smug grin slowly dissipated. Not only was this ship surviving, it was turning towards the Avenger. Grey began to frown.

"Open fire now, Mr. Tuvok." Riker said. In between all of the green bolts, a red beam shot out. It hit the section sticking up out of the main section of this ship.*

Grey looked in horror as the beam streaked towards his ship. The ship rocked as the beam hit his ship. It looked like a Superlaser, but it was red, and it didn't destroy Avenger. Grey kept on looking at this strange ship. Suddenly, a blue ball shot out of the bottom of the ship. I headed towards his ship.

"Fire one torpedoe." Riker said. The quantum torpedoe headed out to the ship. It struck the ship in the same spot as the phaser had been hitting him. It went through the ship. The ship died in space. after a few seconds.

Before the torpedoe hit his ship, Grey sent off a message containing all known information about the rift and this ship. The ball hit Avenger where the beam had been hitting the ship. It went through the ship. An explosion threw Grey off of his feet. He blacked out, and saw nothing again.

"What did we find out about the ship?" Riker asked. Not much, sir. The trip through the anomoly and the hits we took from that ship damaged our sensors." Tuvok said. Riker looked at the screen. "Where's the anomoly?" asked Riker "It has disappeared from our sensors." said Tuvok. "Oh no." Riker said.

it's pretty good, a cross-over between the Star Wars and Star trek universes. It think the story that inspired you was "Portal" at www.ditl.org.

No, it wasn't at DITL. The entire website was dedicated to this story. I only read the first three chapters of it. Anyways, I'm not going to continue the story right now since a friend is coming over for a sleepover in like 10 minutes.
