...okay...maybe it's not a box any more, I guess that takes too much brainpower for the average voter. (kidding) However. Why do you vote the way you do? (Or support a candidate, if you cannot vote) Do you go on position on contemporary problems? Purely partisan? Is there anything that could make you NOT vote for your party, if so?

For me, I will be a partisan voter; especially in Congressional elections. (Always want the majority, obviously) My partisan-ness comes from my ideals in what government should/can do. As for not voting for my party, it would have to be ONLY if Republicans had a downright corrupt candidate. Very. VERY. Corrupt.

^I'm pretty much there. I agree with you and vote for primarily partisan reasons, however if there were a candidate that suited my views more that was in a NATIONAL election, then I would go with them, regardless of their party. Locally, I go with the Republican unconditionally, unless there is corruptness (very much so) etc.

I support the candidate that most shares my views and that I feel is a capable leader. I'm not incredibly partisan, but I'll probably always vote left, simply because right-wing candidates tend to have almost polarized views contrary to mine. In politics, opposites don't attract.
