I like this show because it mixes how humans are now and how they are in the star trek universe, who aggress with me? (on the good show part at least)

I like the show a lot too. I don't understand why so many people hate it.

I think ENT is pretty good yeah. But I think I can kinda understand why some people don't like it.

Oh I don't know...maybe because they are ruining cannon timelines? Because they are altering everything that has been established for better ratings?

I watched it for a bit...then it seemed to change the future of trek, a future we already seen...unless this is a AU story...but after it got into more the emotional...and well more or less drama crap, i just stopped right there...it wasnt sci-fi anymore it was like a soap operah...

The "timeline canon" is being "alterd" because of the events in star trek first contact.

See? Thats what I don't like. They explain it by blaming it on those events. So in other words everything we've known to be Star Trek is wrong because they ca'nt keep everything together? They have a billion books and websites to go off of ST history and they just don't want to bother.
So there explanation is "Well things are different because of the events in FC. You remember when we showed the Borg when we didn't have to for better ratings? Well that never happened in the original timeline. So now everything you know to be true TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY are all altered. Next week we're going to have VOY time travel back and meet the crew of ENT for no apparent reason even though they make no mention of meeting the NX crew. Next week? We're bringing in Q although we established First Contact was made with the TNG crew. But our explanation will be simply and weak as always. Q just erased their memories. We already have an idea we can rehash for better ratings. The ENT crew gets lost in the Delta Quadrant and they fight the Dominion for 4 seasons or so. I know you haven't heard of that on two other shows eh.*nudge nudge wink wink* "

Not really....its more about cannon fact and history. They are ruining it. The Ferengi, Klingons, Borg. All messed up.

I'm not bothered by the errors very much. I mean, it's a TV show, not a bible. At least not to me. I think that it would be boring if they did it "by the book", instead of doing some interesting story lines, and in the process bend some of the rules.
However, I think it's just sad that they had to turn T'Pol into a sexually confused Vulcan who gladly sits around naked, just to draw viewers. That is what the Playboy channel is for, but maybe that is not enough for Braga. He needs at least one woman in a catsuit on the set to be able to "work". Maybe if he tried giving Blalock something more than a pyjamas, he could keep his mind on what matters.

I love this show. I don't understand how anyone could not like it and still call themselves a fan of star trek.

I have seen the show- but it doesn't interest me as much- I like the very futuristic LCARS and Flat Screen panels, and Intrepid look to Star Trek. Personal preferance I guess.

Don't forget the Romulans. Remember their ships? What happened to the established "Giant Bird of Prey" painted underneath their hull? What the hell could they cloak when 100 years down the road cloaking was a discussed subject in the TOS episode "Balance of Terror". After all, Kirk and crew were totally at a loss to effectively track a single Bird of Prey with a cloaking device and superior firepower.
Continuity being sacrificed for ratings is what is damaging the ratings to begin with. If they came forward and admitted that maybe this is alternate style of storytelling not based on established events, than maybe the ratings would be more lenient.
This stuff on TV has been so badly distorted, I refuse to call is Star Trek. I'll just call it Enterprise.
