Be proud of being different!

We are all different in one way or another. Hey, half the world likes Shakespeare, the other half doesn't. In any household, it will be very likely that one person will like coffee and the other will prefer tea.

But what about eccentric behaviour and idiosyncracies? Are you proud of them, folks?

I have a belief in life. I try to be a good person. I am a big believer that people should be able to do or like ANYTHING they want, as long as it is not to the physical, emotional or financial detriment of others. In short, if it doesn't hurt another person, directly or indirectly, be proud of it.

So, this is the thread for each of us (if we want) to come out and admit to ONE eccentric liking of ours. I shall go first.

I appreciate the beauty of the female foot in more ways than one. I love the way most women treat their feet well and I have no problem admitting that, yes, I do like women's feet very much. They look and feel great!

Who's brave enough to go next?

I agree with you there about the feet, not all females, only ones which have been treated well.

Its hard to think of any other idiosyncracies off hand,

Ill get back to you on one when i think of it =)

Very well. I am eccentric in the following way.

My outlook on life is that 95% of the population is dumber than I am. So basically, when I meet someone for the first time, until they prove otherwise, they are dumber than I am. I suppose it leads to my ego, but its not that bad, so I go with it.

I am very superstitious in the way of "not testing fate", as I say. For instance- I won't wear socks to bed, because I never do. So I figure if I do, it will test fate in some way and because I changed that one habit, I'll probablyy die (or something of the like) the next day.

There's also this intersection near my house- Research and Lexington, and if I'm going west on Research, I won't turn left to go south on Lexington because when I started driving, I was given the chice to turn there or somewhere else, and suddenly got the notion that if I was ever to make that turn, I would die (or something of the like). So I don't ever turn there. People say "oh Sam, that's just a superstition" but I know that even if I convince myself it's a superstition and turn there, fate will say "ha!" and I will die (or something of the like)

If any of that makes sense...

^Okay, this "Toothie" thing is hilarious. Can I steal it??

Oh, and that link was sooo not funny. I had a heart attack.

Hmm... one of my idiosyncrasies...

I love my pets. When I say love, I mean love more than most of my relatives, love. It is crazy. Instead of having pictures of my family on my desk at work, I have pictures of my dogs. Weird, huh?

So, let me get this straight... in hating your brother for doing this to you, you believed that it would be fun to share it with the rest of us??

I oughta kick your butt...

That is another one of my idiosyncrasies. I am very sarcastic.

Hey!! Being short can be fun!! As long as you are not short and chubby, I guess... cause that would be bad and make you look alot bigger than you are...

Anyhoo, I digress.

So you like to pick on short people, huh? Better watch out, some of us bite...

Yeah I like to pic on people in general... at least as long as they understand that it's a joke and don't feel all bad about it... that's no fun.
Aha so you bite?! I'm quite a good biter myself. Got great teeth too, all thanks to the beautiful people called dentists

Hey! Hey! No dentist talk!! You owe your teeth to good genes and your toothbrush! Leave dentists out of this!

Yes, I do bite. I like to bite.

I hope Angeldust isn't put off by my confession at the top of this thread. Please continue to send me those private messages, I know there is far more to a woman than feet.

^ what is up with the feet thing? *hides feet*

Hmmhmm... idiosyncrisies... emmm... *thinks*

I have a hard time falling asleep without some sort of noise. TV or music, prefferabley TV. Also I don't like sleeping in the pitch dark. Wich is why at home I sleep with the TV on so I can have a little light without it being bright and some quiet backround noise Dark I can do better than silence, I have to be reeeeally sleepy to fall asleep with no noise.

I cannot. Do anything. In silence. Including going to sleep, actually. My cousin and I had a unanimous agreement: If you walk into my room and the television and/or stereo is off, I've died. CAN'T STAND THE SILENCE!

After careful consideration, I have decided not to be. Though people with foot fetishes can be a bit scary...

^ My mother is the exact opposite. She has to have total silence to go to sleep. Me, I can go to sleep in the middle of a mortar attack... I know, I've done it.

I like to have a fan going, or something like that to fall asleep (because of the sound). When I'm in the car, and people aren't talking or the radio isn't on, the sound of the tires puts me to sleep, Works out well.

I am the same way. It has gotten to the point where I can't sleep without my fan on.

I never could sleep in a car. Especially since I've learnt how to drive. Even when I'm not driving, I need to watch the road.

I can sleep almost anywhere and anytime (except the car). All I need to do is close my eyes and wait for about half an hour.

Well, not when I'm driving, silly, I don't drive at all, actually,

Is me liking. . . uhh correction Obsesed(sp?) with Star Trek Voyager one?

What about having to have everthing in alphabetical order, and having to write lists and time tables for my day? WHat about them?
