I need some help. I had to use my system recovery disks on my laptop and now some programs are not on their anymore (excel, word, winzip). Is there anyone here who is a computer nerd? Or is there some tech help that won't cost me money. THanks

If you have the Microsoft Office CDs you can simply insert them into your PC and install Word, Exell and such on to your computer. As for Winzip, it's a free program that you can legally download from the internet.

Just type in "free download winzip" in Google and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

Indeed. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc, are seperate from Windows XP. You just need a seperate CD with them on it.

http://www.download.com is a good website to download winzip from.

Hey, thanks. I have one problem, I don't have the CDs. The programs came with the laptop when I bought it.

So I see. Youll have to either download a version, or buy one. I suggest going to whomever you bought it from, and telling them to give it to you.

Now that I think about it, my brother might have got that stuff at a LAN party. Oh well.
