How did all of you do on your SAT score? I have to take SAT, PSAT (NMSQT) and ACT all this year, and I still have the Texas State Test, TAKS that I have to pass this year as a junior.
Any tips?
I am already in a $60.00 course at my high school callled SAT / ACT Prep which is only for this semester...

I'm so glad I've taken the "self education" route. All that stuff sounds so... blah.

Are you home school? I would still think that you would have to take the state test (where ever you live)

SAT is a huge test that High school students have to take in order to get into any college; the best score (I believe so) is 1400.
PSAT and ACT are Practice tests
TAKS is the Texas State Test in USA

Home schooling isn't regulated in my state. You answer to no one but whoever is educating you in your household. I mean, there are regulations, but you don't have to answer to the school system or do any kind of tests. Since I don't plan on college... *shrugs* The only thing I'm gunna do is get my GED, after that, I'm free!

I think the SAT was kind of a waste for me... I took it once and got an 1190 (M600 E590) so I took it again to better my score and got an 1190 (M590 E600) (I suck at testing, even though I can get As in all my AP courses). So... it was kind of ok because some schools took both vest scores and made it a 1200... but out here in the west, it's really the ACT that counts. I got a 31 (out of 32) on my English section of the ACT and got to pass both lower elvel college comp classes. so that was pretty cool.

Evil indeed. I got like a 1060 or something, it was pretty bad. But thats all OIT wanted, so I was happy enough.

^ Yeah, but the SATs don't really count for much after you leave school... I'm going into Year 11 in September,
