The two met while in law school at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated last year. They were married at St. Ann's Episcopal Church.
Three generations of Bushes swooped in and dominated this small seaside town during the festivities, including former President George Bush and at least three of his sons, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, the father of the groom; the current president and Marvin Bush.
The street leading up to the expansive Bush compound was blocked off while onlookers and a few protesters gathered. Some in town wore T-shirts that said "Kerrybunkport," playing on town's name and the president's Democratic challenger for the White House, Sen. John Kerry who is from nearby Massachusetts.
On Saturday, the Bushes also went fishing off the Maine coast.
One of President Bush's twin daughters reeled in a 38-inch striped bass, the president proudly announced.
"Jenna caught it. Jenna caught the fish!" Bush shouted to journalists from his father's boat. Photographers said the monster was thrown back into the Atlantic.
Rods and reels in hand, the family set out together in the morning on the Fidelity III, the new powerboat owned by the first President Bush. Three 275-horsepower engines rumbled beneath the boat, which can reach speeds of up to 75 mph.
The family mostly trolled the calm waters along the Maine cliffs, just up the coast from the Bushes' Walker's Point home. They were shadowed by Coast Guard patrol boats.
On board were the first President Bush; the current President Bush and both his daughters; and Noelle Bush, the daughter of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and sister of the bridegroom.
The 28-year-old groom has been clerking for U.S. District Judge Sidney Fitzwater but will soon enter private practice at the firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld LLP.
George Prescott Bush, who was named after his great-grandfather, was one of the stars at Bush's nominating convention in 2000 because in part of his good looks.
Considered an extremely eligible bachelor at the time, he wooed young and Hispanic voters with frequent references to his Latin heritage. His mother, Columba, was born in Mexico. His grandfather, former President Bush, once referred to him and his siblings as "little brown ones."
Amanda Williams is an associate in the Fort Worth, Texas office of the law firm Jackson Walker LLP, focusing on general commercial and labor litigation.
President Bush returns to Washington on Sunday ahead of a week of intense campaigning in several battleground states, including Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, and Iowa.
