I'm just currious I'm not sure where to post this if you think it needs to be in a better forum feel free to move it but heres my question. Our country is one of the most wealthy on the planet right? well why don't we find alternitives to sending our troops to Iraq? heres acouple ideas just think about them and feel free to add ideas of your own heres my ideas.
1. Create a army of Robots don't say you can't do it we have all these robots working with making cars and so forth why not make a army of a million humanoid robots like in Terminator or Robocop that way we don't loose anymore troops?
or
2. Battle Suits that can sustain high ammounts of dammage if your currious about what I'm talking about I don't ahve a good pic to describe it but if you ever played Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate, Trillogy, or Deadly Alliance. You would remember the Robots like Cyber, Sektor and Smoke why not design costumes that are simular to those that could take over a thousand rounds before even getting damaged? I know its Sci Fi like but it is a good idea.
like I said these are my ideas feel free to talk about ideas about alternitives to using our troops over in Iraq and abroad.

the robot idea is tricky because the govt. hides so much about military tech stuff that its not likely that they would reveal them(if they have them at all), also, the U.S. is in so much debt as is and im sure if it was possible to build robots or special armor that it would cost a lot.
the US is not as rich as it seems.
Does anyone know how much debt the US is in??

LOL. Well, its an idea that perhaps holds merit, but I dont think they have quite perfected the idea. But besides that, youve been watching a little too much anime Jeff.

Well let me think about that for a sec......why dont we send robots to war or make robot armor. Lets see.....
*WARNING sarcasm is building up badly. *
1. We can't send military robots because we have none! We haven't advanced that far. Let me guess you just came back from seeing I,Robot? Yes we have robots that build cars. But they can only do one singular and easy purpose. Training them to do what soldiers do is VERY complicated.
2. Battle suits? Why don't we just start calling them Gundams? That too is not possible at this point. If we had this stuff we would utilize it.
Alternatives to war? PEACE
Unfortunetly that rarely works. All we can do is use what we have.

True the Military does hide alot of its secrets if I remember right they were in billions in debt.

Gundams are alittle to big for my likes just something that fits a human. I haven't seen I, Robot yet I would like to. . It just seems that if we are as smart as we are we should be able to build fighting robots I mean we are sending probs to Mars for pitys sake. and Peace is always a good Alternatives but theres always going to be someone to stop it.

I'm 22 but I been told that I look younger more like 16 when I shave thanks for asking. How old are you?

Thats ok Jeremy he was just asking a question I don't mind. I like a nice change once in awhile I haven't been asked that in along time. And for traveling back in time I would like to do that one of these days the reason I brought up the idea about the suits is that I had a dream awhile ago where I was in the CN-003 unit (The Stealth unit).

Here is some pics of the units well they are face shots I'll try to get more full shots.
(This is Modle CN-001 the Attacking unit code named Sektor)
(This is Modle CN-002 the Retaining unit code named Cyrax)
(This is Modle CN-003 the Stealth unit code named Smoke)
The numbers after CN repensent the modle they were like Sektor was the first modle and so forth. If our soldiers had these kinds of outfits how cool and scary would our people look to the terriost keep in mind these would be the outfits not the robots. I personally like the modle CN-003 the Stealth unit.

Did someone watch "I, Robot"? If not, you really should read the book, Jeff. It'd do wonders for your thoughts on... yeah.

(Gilbert, I haven't seen the movie, I'm more of a book person, )
You have no idea what it takes to build a robot army. Not to mention the amount of mental freedom you'd have to give them. What's to stop them from turning on you? Their programming? Tssss. And tell me, how many times has your computer crashed?

the programers could always put in security measures to make sure that the robot woulednt turn against its owner. Also i dont think that a computer crashes intentually. y would it, it just hurts itself.

22? Cool, I'm 17.
Emm I think the A.I Robot Army is still too farfetched even with today's Military Technology. However the Armour Suit I reckon could be made but the cost would be far too high to produce enough for such a task like the Iraq War.
I agree with T about a Robot Army, even if it was Financially and Technologically possible, we would have such a hard time designing a Machine capable of carrying out Missions and Tasks that we currently use Trained Humans for.

Yep the orignal color for it was going to be black but they thought purple was better. I don't mind what color it is, it's still cool.

I plan on getting it on DVD when it comes out. What do you think of the armored costumes though?

They would have security safties built in.

Cool I bet you can't wait to be 18. Hmm your right about the cost but I would be willing to pay alittle more in taxes if it meant that our troops were more safe.

Safeties, lol. Langley has the most safeties ever built into a computer system, and that has been hacked. It's also had program errors, and computer malfunctions. You seriously think imperfect beings can build a perfect machine? What are you going to do when there are no more failsafes?
Exoskeletons are one thing, but a robotic/computerized army? No way.
Are they going to have positronic brains? Are they going to be led by a single computer, by a single person? Are they going to be capable of independant thought? You have no idea what kind of can of worms you are opening here.

I didn't want to open up any cans of worms it was just a simple idea to help reduce the ammount of cassulites in Iraq and Afganastan. (SP) I didn't think of every little thing all I thought of was the robots I never thought about how they would think or anything. But you do like the idea of the battle suits?
