So, what was up with DS9 suddenly dropping the holographic projectors after all of one episode, and the same for the Vorta's telekenetic abilities? It doesn't make much sense to say the Vorta never bothered to use it, because then Iggy Pop would have used it to defend himself in 'Those Magnificent Ferengi'. I suppose it could have been an ability owned only by that one vorta. And the holographic projector would have been useful later on, allowed the captains to speak without using up their viewscreen.
Just something that confuses me slightly

the vorta you are talking about is weyun. yes?
If so then i think his abilities might have been lost when he died and then was cloned.

First off he means the holocommunicators they used instead of the viewscreen. It was first used in the episode, For the Uniform. It never caught on and was eventually dropped. No, the Vorta he means is Eris. This telekinitc power was first used in Jem'Hadar. This was the first episode featuring the Dominion. She hit Sisko with it. Its possible it was only given to her to protect her against the "Federation intruders" for first contact with them. Changelings seem to be masters at genetic engineering. They probably gave her clone that ability. Just because Iggy Pop didn't use it doesn't mean the rest of them don't. Maybe he assumed the Ferengi would have shot him if he tried. Although I would have thought Weyoun would have used it once and a while. I think Eris was the only one given that ability for the reason I said.

And how. Yes, the vorta were supposed to all be telepathic, but the writers (being as awesome as they are) realized it was too powerful, and dropped it. I hope at least, that would rock.
