*ahem* As you probably know the Enterprise encounters the borg...WTH is with that...we had no knowledge of the borg untill Captain Jean-Luc Picard Of the Federation Star Ship Enterprise (1701-D) when Q zapped them into the gamma(I think) quadrent

The excuse they use is something along the lines of "they didnt know that they were called the Borg, and didnt have enough information to link them to the Borg from Q-Who" Something lame like that. It pisses me off too.

Okay, it was that the debris they found in ENT was the remains of the sphere in we saw the Enterprise destory in First Contact. So it all makes sense.

I knew about this convienent First Contact connection. It works but still doesn't explain why the Federaton dont know about the Borg later on.

God man, Star Trek is pissing me off lately...the people that made the new movie and the new episode don't know their Star Trek. They keep making all these obvious errors and they are pissing me off.

I understand that the borg could be remenants of the destroyed Borg sphere but Jean-Luc and the rest of the Enterprise crew would have destroyed all of remanents so that they would did not further damage the timeline.

You are 100% correct, in that Star Trek Enterprise episode 'regeneration' makes no sense whatsoever.
Firstly, we learn that federation outposts were 'scooped' up whole, in TNG the neutral zone. Then, in TNG Q who, we then make FIRST CONTACT with the borg. the enterprise (D) make extensive surveys of these UNKNOWN beings.
It just makes no sense. If enterprise (NX-01) did meet the borg first, we would not have made first contact with the borg, 200 years later.

Yes and I couldnt agree more....I think they should just hurry up and make some romulan or klingon ship destroy the enterprise nx-01

They have to be VERY careful with the Romulans. It was said that humans fought a great war with the Romulans, but never had viewscreen contact. This such first sight occurred in TOS.

Defient? You dont really thinkthey are going to be careful with the Romulans do you? You know they are going to show their faces. They are going to do everything they are NOT suppose to.

Meh, I don't really care that there are errors in it. Just give me some Star Trek and I am content, errors aren't really something that I just can't get over. But hey, whatever.

i noticed errors in enterprise as well as all you. and im also happy to be getting new episodes of star trek too. but really, if they are going to go back in time, they should follow the rules. they should respect the story that was written by the greats, and not defile it with borg encounters that really shoulnt happen.

Well they did mention somewhere, I can't remember where, that the Federation lost a lot of information from some kinda war. Perhaps they lost the info. on the Borg and over time it was forgotten?
