No thanks. How strong could this ship be? It would be cool to see it helps various species but the fights would be one sided. Running around answering distress calls gets old anyways. I don't like Crusher personally. But someone else might like her and a show about her might be appealing to some.

Out of the four this sounds the best. Although I think a show involving past members of other shows isnt good. They should have a fresh new cast. Cameos from other members of other series is GREAT though.

No more VOY. Especially since it was the last show to end. Like I said about the above idea, no original members.

Sounds interesting. No ship or station? Im not sure about that.

Intelligence sounds pretty fine to me. They could have HQ on Earth and send agents around

Star Trek: Investigations Starfleet style of Law & Order it would have starfleet security officers investigating murders, theft, and other crimes around Federation Bases, Planets, and Colonies.

PostTue Aug 10, 2004 11:08 am    Outer worlds

Startrek: Exodus

I like the outer worlds idea, except maybe with a few modifications-

Okay, it's the 31st century, everything is utopian, paradise, the galaxy at peace, the borg are nearly defeated(kept under control), the standard of life is wonderful, ect...

But, as the galaxy is at peace the last few remaining borg cubes plot a scheme to fix things once and for all-

They develop the galaxy destroyer, a weapon capable of destroying whole galaxies, capable of warping spacetime itself, and nobody else has one because nobody else is interested in destroying the galaxy.

The weapon takes several years to go into full effect, slowly destroying the galaxy, peice by piece, system by system, various worlds are eradicated, by giant waves of white flame. It also creates a temporal disturbance where any temporal traveler trying to use temporal technology at that time will be destroyed anywhere in the universe, while the device is in effect(which is forever).

The inhabitants of this galaxy, knowing this could mean their utter destruction, and species 8472, knowing that the borg plan to rebuild in another galaxy, where they will have undisputed power and, eventually, an infinitely stronger army than they have once had, decide to help the inhabitants of this galaxy relocate to other galaxies.

8472 doesn't know where the borg are, or when they will strike.

However, 8472 doesn't trust the inhabitants of this galaxy either, and know that if they are to be of any use, they must be in small numbers, so that 8472, controlling the only pathways in and out of various galaxies can have control over them, and if they decide to attack 8472, they can easily be crushed.

The second advantage is that 8472 can have each of these groups rapidly populate and rebuild, so that they can be used as armies, in the upcoming war with the borg.

The other reason is to use them as bait to lure the borg out, so they can find them and destroy them.

So hundreds of thousands of convoys set out from their many homeworlds, saying goodbye forever to the planets they loved, and once called home.

There are to my knoweldge 40 sum million galaxies, so there are plenty of places to put them.

They also want each of these conveys to either subdue, or make diplomatic alliances with the natives, so that they can also be
be part of the great army against the Borg.

With every convoy, several 8472 guide them through the galaxies, as well as keeping tabs on what they are doing, which can also take any humanoid form.

I like Star Trek: Intelligence the most
They could have a starship designated for that, only it doesn't revolve around that, or they have Class 11 shuttles with stealth technology, but it would be cool either way.

These are all rehashes of what Star Trek has alread embarked upon. What is needed now in order to save the entire idea of Star Trek for the future is to have a show where Federation is in jedordy, cataclysmic change or destruction of and reforming of star fleet. A change is needed to occur and one that may not be comfortable at first but is sure to keep you (the Viewer) on the edge of your seat to see what occurs next. I myself love all the characters of Stak Trek, and loved the ideas of voyager series but something has to change and soon or else Star Trek will become a nastalgic has been.

I like the idea about Starfleet Academy . Although if it was purely based in the academy it could quickly become an intergalactic soap opera. And you know what that means!!! At least 3 cast members will have amnesia throughout the series.

I am not sure if I am on the same track as you, but if so, then I agree.

Star Trek has pretty much done everything else. There needs to be some huuuge catastophe that occurs, perhaps where the United Federation begins to fall apart, and alien races start breaking off. I don't know...just something where the Federation is fighting for it's life. Not sure of any details...but I think you get what I am saying, .

Star Trek: The New Frontier
Captain "Anna Paris" the daughter of B'Elanna and Tom Paris commands a future Starship called "U.S.S. Freedom"

and of course this series will have that basic Star Trek: TNG type explorations facing many new and unknown dangers series.

^^^ Good character as the captain, but I doubt that it would go far. There has to be something drasticly different from the other series.

I'm intrigued by this. A lot of the reason I think DS9 worked is because it was something different--a station instead of the normal ship. I think it'd be an interesting prospect to flesh out.

Well how about this:
After waking up from being in stasis for nearly a hundred years, Jadzia Dax finds it hard to adjust to 25th century life?

PostMon May 16, 2005 8:47 pm    Star Trek: Rebellion

Two ships, two crews, two points of view. The Federation has been torn apart, Starfleet corrupted under the weight of it's own paranoia. They try to exert more and finer control over Federation worlds, claiming (and believing) that they're doing so for the good of all, but many worlds resist. Finally, an alternate alliance is formed. Ships and crews choose sides. As ship numbers become more important, older designs are brought out of mothballs, refitted, modified.

Each week, the episode will focus on one of the two ships. One a Starfleet loyal ship, taking orders from Earth and doing what they truly believe is in the best interest of the known Galaxy, the other a former Starfleet ship, it's crew part of the new alliance, the ship augmented with alien technology. They too believe that they're doing what is absolutely essential to the safety and security of the Galaxy.

This would not be a "Star Wars" Empire .vs New Republic type drama, but much more subtle. No one would be evil, it would not be all-out war. Simply two viewpoints played out point-counterpoint every other week. Sure, there would be the odd phaser fight, or fleet skirmish, but overall the twists and turns, the secrets and revelations would be the stuff of intrigue, guile... like I said, subtle.

The Star Trek Universe needs a bit of shaking up, not just a new enemy or far-flung time or location. The Federation needs to buckle, and it's inhabitants rise to a new challenge.
