Why didn't caniel send ships from the 31st century to destroy the Xindi probe, the timeline was screwed up enough anyway.

Well, you know those Starfleet types. "The prime directive," and all that jazz.

Maybe they arent allowed to interfere directly. They can only give advice. Or maybe cause of the timeline changes they have no ships? Who knows....

Didn't Daniels say something like history doesn't recall a conflict between humans and xindi?

Yeah somat like that. But there not allowed to interfere with the past. It would contaminate the timeline even more.
Just like in voyager, they find out that the "computer age" should never have happened

Remember the Voyager episode 'Future's End'. A ship was sent back in time to destroy Voyager then and that was from the 29th century.
I think when writers create stories based around different time periods, they're bound to have many little problems and questions about 'why couldn't this happen?' and 'why couldn't that happen!?' .. so the best thing to do, is to not get involved in them in the first place!

Perhaps it's something the writers overlooked?
