Yeah. Poor harry. He never gets promoted. He finally gets the chance to take the captains seat other than the night shift and what happens? The hologram comes in and takes it.

I just saw "Workforce" a couple of days ago. And it wasn't Harry and the Doctor who was fighting over the captains seat. It was Chakotay and the Doctor.

Wasn't the Doc also incharge when all the crew had to go into stasis chambers whilst they crossed a barren bit of space? He has Seven with him too.

this was the episode where he day dreamed about being the captain and those collecters where waiting to attack Voyager but accidentally tapped into his day dreams with the Weapon of mass destruction... there were also other day dreams involving the crew/ seven of nine / B'ellana/ and Kes i beliave... that episode was hilarious specially when the doctor was painting Seven Naked. my picture was from that epidose....

I loved it when the Doctor was the ECH, i was disappointed that he didnt get to play that role more often. Though Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy rocked he wasn't technically playing the ECH in that, he was dreaming that he was the ECH, great episode none the less.

Umm... there was one more episode when the Doc became the Emergency Command Hologram

--> VOY: Renaissance Man.

He became the ECH so he could order the ship to eject the warp core, thus giving him the ability to steal and trade it in for Captain Janeway's safe return. It did show that the EMH was more than capable of activating the ECH program on his own, also showing that in a way, he had duplicate authority over the computer than Captain Janeway would have.

Yeah, that episode was great especially when he tricked the crew by pretending to be one crewman at a time. (Janeway, Chakotay etc.)

i wanted to have seen more of him as the ech...it was realy funny the first time in tinkor, tenor, doctor, spy or what it was called, but in workforce and renaisannce man he really showed that he earned that program addition.

Harry Kim even got to be the Captain in one episode, the one where everyone was kidnapped and he hid the ship in a crater on a moon.
