A Work In Progress (Please read.)

I am a young author with literary aspirations, and I wish to write a non-Star Trek novel. Though I be a "Trekkie" I can't seem to write Star Trek well. If I were to post bits and pieces of my novel here would it be read? I know that it is not Star Trek, and that this site is. But if my story is enjoyed I woudl like to give Fan Fiction another shot.

I need a team of editors. Only two or three. This seems like a fine place to find people who know how to read and how to say what is wrong with it. Editors will be listed and acknowledged for their contributions.

Also, I require creative consultants. Basicaly people to lend thier expertise and help develop the plot with. As with editors creative consultants will be listed and recognized for their contributions.

For any help by readers that too is appreciated. My thanks to those of you taking your tiem to read this.

Thank-you!!! Okay, I'll post the Prologue and you tell me what you think. If you see mistakes or think that it just bites, tell me.

Prologue

Were they crying for her as they watched her stand there, alone, and in the pouring rain? Did they sit somewhere near by, just observing? She wanted them to tell her what to do, but she already knew what had to be done. The angels wept as she wept, for it pained them to see her suffer. The girl, almost a woman, was running from something she feared above all, the truth. It was so simple but so hard that letting it out would surely exhaust her. That was why she had come to the one woman she trusted more than anyone. The woman was in her two-story condo, oblivious of the girl just outside her door, in the downpour. Teh angels knew that the child was in agony. She could not knock on the door. There had been a fine line in what she could and could not tell the woman. She wanted to break the rules. She had wanted to for a long time. Tears of frustration flowed over a red welt on her cheek. Her red honor badge of courage, or cowardice, she was unsure. They neared her, reaching out with their hearts. So badly they wanted to give her strength, but she had all the strength she needed to complete her task. They were one with her every thought and feeling. She did not know that they were close. The woman had told her that angels were watching over her. That was unbelievable, because why would they watch and not intervene when things got tough? The rain washed over her in a cleansing shower.

'Go,' said the voice in her heart, 'be strong.'

Wearily she mounted the concrete steps, approaching the door. Her hands shook as she reached to ring the doorbell. Dipping into an extra well of courage she pushed the button.
