DESCENT INTO DARKNESS
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away...
CHAPTER 1.
Revan turned around, and found himself staring straight into the face of a drooling Selkath. The fish-like sentients eyes looked...wrong, somehow. Like something was not right inside his head. Like he was insane or something.
The Selkath opened his large mouth and screamed, and then started clawing at Revan. Revan ignited his purple lightsaber, and cut the Selkaths head straight off his body.
Something is very wrong here Revan said, and looked down at the decapitated corpse of the Selkath.
I find myself agreeing with you, which is very odd Revans companion Arani Zarlenga said, and turned her blue lightsaber off.
Arani was a graceful, green-eyed, brown-haired and beautiful human female, and a skilled Jedi, strongly connected to the Living Force and loyal to the Jedi Council. Like Arani, Revan was also a human, and a Jedi, and very strong in the Force. Stronger than most. The Jedi Council feared what Revan could become, should he turn to the Dark Side of the Force. Revan turning was not very likely, however.
I hope I dont have to hear you two arguing again said Revans second companion, Nubassa, who was Selkath himself, and very disturbed about what had befallen his brethren here. All Selkath in the Dracon Colony had gone completely insane, killing everyone who was not Selkath, and eating them. Like they had returned to the most savage of ways.
Nubassa polished his blaster rifle and continued If you dont mind, Id like to suggest that we get going and get this over with as soon as possible.
Revan stood up straight, and turned his lightsaber off.
Of course, he said Lets go
Revan, Arani, and Nubassa continued on through the glass corridors of the Dracon Colony, the Firaxa Sharks swimming just a couple of feet away outside. The echoes of the screams of the insane Selkath and the occasional ring of battle, made by the remaining off-world smugglers, businessmen, mercenaries and Republic Soldiers.
As they were about to enter another large room, which had had the door blown away by a thermal detonator or something similar to it, Revan sensed something. He raised his hand, telling the others to stop. Revan closed his eyes and reached out with the Force to see what it was he felt. A disturbance in the Force. He could not see exactly. He opened his eyes once again, and carefully peeked past the corner.
He saw a man clad in black robes. His face halfly concealed by a silvery mask, and his skin was pale. His eyes were red and they glew brightly in the dark room. He suddenly felt something from this man. A surge of power, unlike anything Revan had ever felt before. It caught him off-guard and caused him to lose his balance. He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. The sensation was amazing. The sheer power was breathtaking. It was so much, that Revan could not stand up straight. He heard the whisper of a soft voice, and a gloved hand carefully grabbing his neck.
Revan? the voice belonged to Arani Are you alright?
Revan opened his eyes and looked into hers.
Im fine. It was nothing, just lost my breath for a second Revan lied, yet felt no regret. The feeling alone was for him, and only him. But I think theres trouble ahead
Arani looked at Revan, getting the feeling he was hiding something from her, but decided not to make a big deal out of it. She released her hand from his neck, and peeked around the corner to see the robed man, still standing there alone. Looking as if he was waiting for someone.
Arani gasped.
Yes, Revan, there is trouble ahead she whispered That is a Dark Jedi
Revans eyes widened. A Dark Jedi? Then the sensation he felt was...The Dark Side? Impossible! The Dark Side is evil, and nothing like that amazing feeling.
I think hes waiting for someone Arani continued I think hes waiting for us
What should we do then? Kill him? Revan asked.
I dont see any other option Arani said, sighing. May the Force be with us
She turned to Revan. She said nothing, but Revan knew it was to see if he was ready. He smiled, and nodded.
It might just have been the flickering light of the Colony, but Revan thought himself see a smile run across Aranis face.
She then turned to Nubassa.
The blue Selkath set his customized blaster rifle to the highest setting, and nodded.
Revan and Arani both took a deep breath each, and walked around the corner. The robed figure turned to them, as they walked out in the open.
Revan took out his lightsaber in his right hand, but didnt ignite it just yet.
The robed man took out a pair lightsabers himself. The hilts were black, and had intricate carvings all over them. He ignited them both and the blades turned out to be as crimson red as blood.
I have been waiting for you, Jedi the man said with a raspy voice through the carefully designed silver mask.
We thought you might have Arani said and grabbed the hilt of her lightsaber.
Silence, female. You are insignifigant the figure said and turned his cold eyes to Revan, but said nothing. He just stared at him. Like he was staring straight into his soul.
Revan became somewhat nervous, and ignited his lightsaber.
The Dark Jedi spoke again.
Eager for blood, I see, Jedi he was speaking in a pleased tone As am I. However, I am no regular Dark Jedi. They call me Darth Ketevor, Sith Lord.
Arani also ignited her lightsaber now, and prepared herself for battle at the same time as Revan did.
You cannot win, Darth. We serve the Light! said Arani faithfully.
Such resolve in your words, Jedi said Darth Ketevor But they will not help you as you lie bleeding to death so far away from the Light!
Darth Ketevor rushed forward towards Revan and Arani. Revan and Arani charged at him as well, and the three Jedi clashed in a whirlwind of coloured blades, and flashes from the sabers hitting eachother.
Ketevor used his two lightsabers to fight the Jedi off with amazing skill.
The Battle ensued, but Ketevor realized, that he would die if he did not retreat. He raised his hand, and a wave of the Force emerged around him, knocking down anything close to him. The two Jedi were knocked off their feet. Revan flew straight into a pile of old droid parts, and Arani crashed into a wall.
Until next time, Jedi! Ketevor yelled and ran.
Nubassa, who had stayed hidden during the entire battle, came out from his hiding place now and took aim on the Sith.
Ketevor sensed this, and turned to Nubassa, extended his hand, and pulled the Selkaths weapon to him and throwing it to the ground, then leaving quickly.
Revan crawled out from the pile of droid parts and shook his head violently, to regain self-control. His eyes scanned the room, to find that Darth Ketevor was gone, and that Arani laid unconscious on the other side of the room. Revan got on his feet and walked unsteadily towards her, kneeling at her side. Seeing her breathe brought him much relief.
Nubassa had picked up his blaster, and walked over to Revan and Arani.
Is she...? Revans old friend said with widened eyes.
No. She lives. But we have to take her out of here.
Nubassa nodded and looked around. The blue Selkath suddenly froze.
Listen he said.
Revan listened. He could hear nothing. The screams and echoes of battle were gone. Revan could feel the evil disturbance dissappear from the Dracon Colony.
Maybe it was the Sith...? Nubassa suggested.
It makes sense Revan said, and nodded That means weve accomplished what we came here for. Lets take Arani and get to the ship and report to the Jedi council.
Im all for that Nubassa said and smiled. He holstered the rifle on his back and helped Revan carry Arani back to the surface section and the spacedock of the Dracon Colony.
They made their way to Docking Bay H-Delta-16, where their ship, the Hydra, was docked.
Nubassa opened the bay doors, and then helped Revan bring Arani inside the ship, and put her to bed in Sickbay.
The moment after the two men had placed Arani on the bed, Nubassa left for the cockpit. Revan stayed for a couple of seconds, and looked at Aranis sleeping face. He carefully stroked her cheek just once, and then followed Nubassa to the cockpit.
Nubassa took off the holster with his rifle in it and put it in a locker on his right side, and then sat down in the pilots seat.
I wouldve hoped for a more pleasant visit to my homeworld he said and started up the engines Manaan is so much better than this
Revan sat down in the co-pilots seat.
Im sure it is, Nubassa. But Im still looking forward to returning to Dantooine
Actually, Revan, I am too Nubassa said, and they took off, leaving the clear blue waterworld of Manaan behind them...

Well, even though it hasnt been exactly anticipated, I have continued writing, The second chapter isnt finished, due to writers block...But I can give you part of it. So here it is:
CHAPTER 2.
Revan and Nubassa reached the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine after two days. They took Arani to the Medical Centre to have her fully healed.
I hope she recovers soon Revan said, hearing the obvious concern in his voice only after he said it.
Nubassa nodded silently.
I should go tell the Jedi Council of the Sith Lord. Revan said, glad that Nubassa didnt notice how worried he was about Arani.
Of course. Ill be at the ship. I saw some things that needed to be fixed with the Hyperdrive Nubassa said See you later, Revan
Revan nodded, and Nubassa left for the hangar. Revan turned around to walk towards the Council Chambers, but someone stood in his way.
Greetings, Revan the Weequay Jedi named Tanomas said in a mocking tone. Tanomas and Revan had gone to the same Academy together, and had been enemies since the first day they met.
Revan nodded at Tanomas.
Tanomas he said in a neutral tone.
Talkative as ever, I see. And have gotten your woman into some trouble, yes?
Revan clenched his fists in anger, but tried to calm down, remembering the Jedi Code.
She is not my woman
Thats not what I heard Tanomas said, smiling evilly And its quite obvious, really. Im suprised the Council hasnt noticed yet
Shut up, Tanomas Revan said and glared at him.
Was that a threat, Revan? Tanomas said, grinning.
Revan tried to control himself. He could feel the rage building up inside of him. He thought he had freed himself from these base emotions by now. He was a Jedi! This was beneath him. But Tanomas was so frustrating. Revan clenched his teeth and stayed quiet.
Whats the matter now, Revan? Are you staying quiet because I had gotten onto something concerning you and your female?
That was enough. Revan lost the control he fought so dearly to keep, and took a couple of threatening steps towards Tanomas, before he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Master NaTsec Olan, Revans former Master. NaTsec was a red-skinned TwiLek in his mid-fourties, and one of the most respected Jedi around.
Calm down, Revan. Not anger, peace said NaTsec, looking into Revans eyes.
Revan felt the anger dissappearing.
Yes, master. Im sorry
Its alright, this once. Youre young, Revan. Emotions are strong when you are young. But tell me, NaTsec looked at Tanomas What was going on here?
Tanomas provoked me into fighting him Revan said, glaring a bit at the young Weequay Jedi.
NaTsec sighed.
Havent you two given up your petty rivalry yet? And even if Tanomas provoked you, Revan, it was your choice to try and fight him. I will request something from you both, once again. Tanomas, stop provoking Revan. Revan, try to control your emotions. They can be dangerous
Yes, Master Olan Tanomas and Revan said at the same time.
Good NaTsec said and smiled. And welcome back, Revan
Thank you, Master Revan said and smiled back.
NaTsec nodded at them both and left.
Until next time, Revan Tanomas said in a rash tone.
Not too soon, I hope Revan replied.
Tanomas turned quickly, causing his Jedi robes to wave in the wind after him, and left.
Revan left for the Council Chambers. Tanomas was so frustrating, but what was worse; he was right. Revan had developed feelings for Arani. Of course, he wasnt in love with her. He wouldnt let it come to that, and neither would she. But Revan cared too much about Arani. It could cloud his judgement.
A couple of Jedi greeted him as he walked down the garden paths of the Dantooine Jedi Enclave. Revan greeted them back, but he did not know them. They only greeted him because he was strong in the Force. He did not know these people. If one of them died tomorrow, he wouldnt care. As a matter of fact, its likely he wouldnt even know.
