Hello! This forum is for ideas that would be related to making star trek becoming a reality, or just advancing the human species.

Example

Idea- Advanced Propulsion
Explanation- Blah blah blah this is how it works
Purpose- To thrust things into space really really fast

Doesn't necessarily be directly related to star trek, just to whatever, like advanced ideas you might have, like, we could create this new phaser, or this idea for a replicator, or this idea for warp.

I'll go first

Idea- Replicator basic
Explanation- It uses millions upon millions of microtubes to create the shape of something. It essentially works like a three dimensional printer.
Can't replicate everything, chemical synthesis works by destroying molecues based on the fact that they do or do not have matching resonance frequency with the desired molecue, so molecues form and get destroyed over and over until only the molecues that are wanted remain, then are sorted(again resonance frequency) and sent through the tubes, where they are heated, electrified, or any other number of conditions.

Purpose- To allow high energy cost manufacturing, with relative low labor cost, that can be used to manufacture a large number of different things cheaply.

^That's actually a nice idea, it's certainly more realistic than a real Trek replicator...
