Is it true what I've heard, that EU is getting a president? Why in Moore's name would the EU want a president?!? And from what country will he/she come from? One of the big countries? ...or sweden...?

Is it possible for a country to exit the union, when ones inside? And do we have to join the EMU ones we joined the EU? That was what they said when we voted for EMU, but we still don't have the euro, nighter do great brittan...

I think you can exit the EU, and I hope you don't have to join the euro, cos I like my pounds and pence too much

I am not sure but I think it stands for Europe like EU money, They dont use Marks nomore. Hope it helps. I am not 100% sure though.

Ohmy! EU stands for the Europeen union. It's a big thing for us over here. I think about 25 counties have joined. But i'm not surprised that you don't know anything about it

OK, leaving Bush out of it, I'm going to try and explain why I don't think Blair is any good.
Blair doesn't listen to his country. When more than 1 million people protested in the streets of London against going to war, he chose to ignore them. He based his decision on the document now known as the "dodgy dossier", mainly called because it was exaggerated beyond belief.
He introduced top-up fees, proving his hypocrisy. He went to university for free, he makes tomorrow's students pay. To get the vote through, he used Scottish MP's, for whom it does not affect, since Scottish students do not pay for university.
He is keen to get his foundation hospital plans through, against the views of the people, the doctors, the nurses and almost everyone who it affects. It is the first stage towards privatising the NHS, which will probably end in failure, as did the privatisation of British Rail.
He tried to avoid a referendum on the EU consitution, which he knew was not popular with the public. After saying several times he doesn't have a reverse gear, he finally does a U-turn and allows us to have a referendum.
"The Labour Party used to represent millions, now it represents millionaires" -Bob Crow, the RMT general secretary. This is, as far as I can see, true. (for those who don't know, the RMT were expelled from the Labour party for allowing some of it's branches to affiliate with other political parties, such as the Socialist Worker's Party.) New Labour used to support the trade unions, now it works against them.
Actually, I have so many reasons I think I'll make a new topic for this... just not right now.

Ooo, he is so nasty (and not in the sexy way, I mean in the really bad way)... I don't understand why he is still the ...president (i know u don't have one, but I don't know what he's called)
And I was just wondering, the Scottish students don't pay for school. But the english students do? I thought it was the same for everyone, after all, it's ONE country...
And do make a topic coz I wanna hear more.

Well now, that was a tad rude, Those poor ignorant Americans who don't know how many countries are in the European Union. When you can name all fifty states, I'll care. Until then, you are Europe, we are the America's. That's the name of the continents, and that's the way they are differentiated. We don't call the UK Europe, nor China... imagine that.

We're not one country. Scotland and England (Wales and Northern Ireland as well) are seperate countries, although they all come under the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Tony Blair is our Prime Minister, and the head of parliament, but Scotland has a seperate government that's part of our normal government. It's confusing, but it means that although Scotland shares most of our laws, it can make it's own as well.

Who said you were? From what I can see, it's a lose/lose situation. From one person I hear, "I live in the UK". So I say UK. From another, "well, I'm from England, and prefer to be called English". From now on, I'm simply going to refer to you as what I know you as.
I know that you are all under the same rule, but, tsss, this is frigged up. If you can say I'm American, and not say from the United States, then I can say you are from the UK, even if you are from Scotland.
And, OMG, before someone has a coniption, the only part directed at one person was the "Who said you were", tssss.

Yeah, I know,  I just wanted that point to be made very publicly, since she's the one having so many issues regarding the use of the term "Europe", and then makes a gaffe like that.
