This is the story aboot a seventeen year old boy who goes on an odd quest. His name is Rick Murphy.
~Chapter one:The recruitment~
It was June 26th...Rick's 17th birthday, and he was not amused. He had just been alerted that the Princess Jodilanna had been kidnapped by the dark lord, kortha, a black mage.
He was to recieve his small band of attackers shortly.
He opened the door.
There they were.
He couldn't have found a more sad lot.
There were drunks, kids, and old guys with canes.
great. he thought, I have to waste my life rescuing some pretty brod of a princess and I have to do it with THEM.
he walked out into the middle of the "raiding squad" and got thier attention easily.
"THERE WILL BE NO ALCHOHOL CONSUMED ON THIS QUEST, UNTIL IT IS OVER." He exclaimed.
"but why?", "How could you?" "I think I'll rebel" "I'm gonna mutiny" "Awwww....man this bites" and "well that's one way to get killed, but by you're own party?" were the responses.
He looked at the last member, an old man with a cane, a sword, and a crossbow.
"You seem the least dissapointed about that, so I shall name you second in command."
"I only seem not dissapointed because I don't drink".
"that makes sense." Rick said.
Then he added: "Lets get this over with!"
and so they started on the most obscure journey in the history of princess tails.
------
The Next morning
------
As the squadron entered a small meadow, they were surprised at an ambush by sixteen trolls.
It was a gruesome battle...
all the trolls died, and the young little mutineer was badly wounded, but all in all it was a success.
The battlefield was scattered with broken beer bottles, troll corpses, and a few arrows.
"well, now that THAT is over with, lets have breakfast" the old man said.
"good plan."Rick replied.
The Chef of the squad was quite incompetent...hard tack and gruel was what was for breakfast...and the journey had just begun...could things get any worse?
