I just got a new book called Shadowmancer that was reccomended to me by a family friend (the author of Finding God in Lord of the Rings). It looks pretty good, I'm excited to read it. Has anyone else heard of this book?

I read the title of this topic but never stopped to peek inside...then the other day when I was at Barnes and Noble I walked past the book. I stopped and stared at it for a moment knowing that I'd seen the title before...now I know where, and I know a little bit more about the book.

I'll probably go back and look through it now.

What's it about?

it's about magic and stuff, but there's a more religious element to it, I guess... I haven't had time to really start reading, but the summary is something about a shadowmancer (someone who can summon dead people) who wants to take over the world and when he does, he can summon the greatest evil that is more powerful than God and he himself can become God. and the story's about the people who have to stop him. in someplaces in Europe, they're saying its "hotter than potter" but... we'll see

I know my sister's got it and apparently there's a new one coming out or something...though naturally, I try not to talk to her unless its ABSOLUTELY necessary...
