PostFri May 07, 2004 6:42 am    I don't understand. Why people have to hate each other?

I am asking this cause it just sad the reason people hate each other. I don't want to bring religion into this cause it might stir up an arguement. But don't the bible say love thy enemy?

I just troubled right now. I posted something on my fav christian group website it was just fact about me and told everything about me and stuff did not mention bush at all. Just mention that I support my husband and the other troops.
And other people was telling about their lives too and this guy told about his life and he said he hated bush. Ok I can respect his opinion so he dont like bush but why hate?

I can repect people not liking him but why hate? If this person says he is a christian aint he suppose to love his enemy?

It was kinda rude of him to bring up bush when it was not a post for it.

Makes me wonder if that man is really a christian. What u think? I won't get mad at your opinions.

I think that people have a natural attraction to argue and to have conflict, even though they dont necessarily believe in the point they are arguing. I find myself doing this occasionally too, like in that forum we are in, but only once.

Hate is a strong word to use, but it seems that it is used more and more abundantly. Most likely when he says he hates bush, he ment that he strongly dislikes him, either that or he had a family member killed in combat.

and you shouldn't doubt if people are christian based on what their beliefs are. Not every christian believes that you should love thy enemy.

Well, as Link said sometimes people use words that are stronger than they mean. It also could be because they have only had bad experiences with Bush. In their past they also could have had different experiences from you and so while you might not be able to "hate" so easily, they can. Also the bible does say love thine enemy, but (in my and most christians belief) apart from Jesus have you met someone who was perfect? Everyone does bad things.

I haven't met Jesus man j/k

Yeah I'd be inclined to agree with Jez and Link, most people who use the word "Hate" tend to be exaggerating.

I never meant to doubt that this guy was not a christian, just It bothers me that people hate other people doesn't always have to be about Bush.
I love everybody. Yes, I have a temper and I am controlling it like I suppose to now, so I can be a likable person . It is not in my natural to hate anybody. THat's just me.

It's not good to love everyone, you know. That is a too naive attitude. The world is hard, and you need to be hard back.(Better write that one down )

Sure, if everyone loved eachother the world would be great, but that will never happen. Ever.

If you love everyone, it's easy for clever people to take advantage of you...But I suppose loving everyone is better than hating everyone.(not neccesarily, however...)

It is good to love everyone Christ says:

"I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
-John 13.34-35

If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to this worldm but I have chosen you out of the world-therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, 'Servants are not great than their masters. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my world, the will keep yours also. But they will do all these things on account of my name, because they do not know he who has sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father[John15.18-25].......I have said these things to keep you from stumbling. They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed an hour is coming when those who kill you will think that by doing so they are offering worship to God. And they will do this becuase they have not know the Father or me.[John 16.1-3]

Sry...got kinda carried away there...oh well.

Most people I know 'disagree' with bush's decisions, myself included.

But I think out of those people, very few actually hate him.

I don't think people use the world too freely these days, I think they mean it. Because hating someone has become an acceptible thing. But don't doubt him, and don't get down about what he's saying.

Think about it this way, why was he brought before you? What was he supposed to teach you? Maybe it's love..?

You best teach what you most need to learn.

No one is perfect, and so many people let it so much gunk. Just try to keep yourself as clean as you can. And don't worry about the rest.

I don't hate too many people. I strongly dislike alot of people. Like my friends .. (some) when they lie to me time and time over again. It is really possible to hate someone.. but if they hate someone then there was a big issue between the two people. And one was hurt.

It is sad that poeple have to hate. Hate is an emotion that is leard. If we would quit teaching children to hate the world would be a better place to live.

I am one for love not war, but I'm the first to enlist in the armed forces to fight for this county that gives us the right to do the things that we do.

I do not care if poeple hate me or not, and I think that is the key. Just don't care if poeple hate you or not. Now yes it is great to have people like you. It makes you fill good all over, and it should. I do like to have friends and I want to make more friends. So, if you want to be friends that all the better, but if you want to hate me then I just don't care.

Yeah I don't care if anyone hates me either, I use to worry about it. A good friend told me not to worry about people hating me. Cause it matters what myself thinks about me and God, and family.
But love people even though they may do you wrong cause it is not always best to get revenge. Let people who hurt me answer to God.

I love to make friends too and a friend is someone who accepts you who you are.

Hate can be controlled, like every other emotion.

One thing that you should ask yourself then:
If you can't hate, can you love?

I would say that you can't love like some people can. If you've compacted your emotions then you still can love and hate, but not as much as someone who can hate strongly, but also love more. For some people it seems that all they are is hate sometimes though, and they can't love.
