Howard Dean May Host Talk Show
Friday, April 30, 2004
MONTPELIER, Vt. Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean (search) is talking to television producers about hosting a talk show.
Dean met this week with executives from Paramount, which produces talk shows such as Judge Judy (search) and Dr. Phil (search), according to Walker Waugh, a spokesman for Dean's grassroots group Democracy for America.
"The governor has been getting offers from plenty of different people since he finished (the presidential race)," Waugh said Friday. "He's listening to everybody."
But he said Dean's main focus until the November election will be working with Democracy for America to get President Bush (search) out of office.
The potential Dean talk show would not involve politics, said Asher Spittler, assistant to Paramount consultant Larry Lyttle. He said he didn't know what the focus would be.
"It's in the early stages," Spittler said.
Lyttle was head of the production company that created Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown and the Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Asher said.
Dean, who pulled out of the presidential race in February, met with television executives during a West Coast swing that included a rally with California Rep. Hilda Solis on Friday.
The physician and former Vermont governor will speak regularly at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. until the election. He spoke last month on "The Long-term Implications of the 2004 Presidential Election," and will return for two days each in June, July and August, and again after the election. |
Your thoughts now?

you roll your eyes at everything....
I think if it makes him happy why not try it? I mean if Bush wanted to start his own radio show "God forbid" than you would expect us to give him a shot. So I say give him a shot.

Tsss, it won't last. He couldn't even hold his own party's attention, and now he wants to entertain America, Sure, w/e. Embarrass yourself even further, Dean.

Give him a shot.
If anything, it could be good for a laugh.

Guy's got an opinion, let him share it.
Yeah, he's the worlds largest goon bucket, but if he wants to be on TV, so be it.
