Basically, we need more topics in DS9. So here goes.
My all time favorite episode. So cool to see everyone out of their makeup!

This episode is very hard to top, and is an excellent example of creative writing. Reviewing the struggle for racial equality is a practical storyline which still relates heavily to our current society, wether we like it or not.
And what made it good also...? B&B didn't write it!

Amazing episode. This was the episode that hooked me into DS9. I loved it. Avery Brooks was an amazing actor in this one. They won an award for this episode too. I think for costumes.

I dont think they did, in the season 6 special features they said they thought it should have been nominated, maybe they did win something. But yes, this episode was so cool. When they deal with every day social issues in star trek, you can never go wrong. So good!

Good choice Mark. Far Beyond the Stars was a great episode. I thought it was fun to see the actors out of uniform and makeup. The story was good too.
It ranks high in my over all favorites but it's not #1.

It's a great episode, in my opinion. I loved the scene, where Ben says that maybe there is a Benny the writer somewhere out there.

Great episode...but I didn't undestand the lesson Sisko was supposed to have learned from it. Or why it happened to him?

In that episode, Sisko was becoming over burdened with the Dominion war. He was thinking of quitting because it was getting to tough. The Prophets sent him back to teach him that no matter how hard it gets, he can't quit.
As for why him? Cause he's the Emissary!!!

- Thanks. I figured it was caused by the prophets but I wasn't sure. That helps - It would have helped me out a lot more if I'd seen the previous episodes. I had just watched that episode randomly because the synopsis looked good.

Yeah, I think that episode was nominated for an Emmy, but didnt win. I think it should have. It was truly amazing.
On the Season 6 DVD there is a commentary specifically for that episode which is awesome.
