There's something wrong with my computer. Totally randomly it will minimise windows, sometimes within a few seconds of maximising them. Whenever I use a smilie on the emotions at the side of this post, it refreshes the page and I lose my text. Sometimes I load an msn convo up, and then it keeps the convo on the top but types in the webpage I have behind it. I've virus scanned with Norton, and also run Ad-Aware 6.0 and Spybot, and removed the bad stuff they found. Anyone know what's up, or have an idea? I'm running windows XP by the way.

when I ran McAfee virus scan pro I had a lot of AdClick-0 I went to Mcafee help page and the info said to edit register, and export the file. It could not be cleaned or deleted by McAfee.

sounds to me like a general windows xp error. The question is is it XP home or XP pro? if its XP home, you're screwed, if its xp pro, you have a shot, at least from my personal expierence.

I don't think it's just a XP error, as it has happened to me also in the past. But all I had to do is cut my computer off and reboot it to get rid of it. I also used a program called Ad-aware 6.0 to delete all of the registry files that I had accumulated. But ... nevertheless, it has been gotten rid of.

FAT 32! lol Win 98 has some advantages, but there are so many things that wont run on it anymore! Besides that they finally stopped support of it...
Anyways, sounds like a spybot program to me. Ad-aware 6 should stop it, but if youve run that already, then I suppose not. I dont think it would be a general error with windows, since microsoft would have support for a thing like that up, since it would not just happen to one person. So, update your virus scan, and hope for the best I suppose.

My Virus scanner is updated. It also seems to have mucked up hotmail. When got to hotmail then it loads up inbox automatically. When I click for it to do anything it says the page doesn't exist. When I try and load up hotmail seperatly it just gives a blank page. I've cleared my cookies and internet files and that doesn't work, and it's also affected my brothers account. Seems to be something to do with microsoft as all the other sites work.

^^I'm telling you man, you need to give Ad-aware a try before you think of reformatting.

Have you heard about historykill2003? Charlie down loaded it. It destroys popups and spyware.

lol.
Ad-Aware is a really good spyware program. I think it catches most if not all spybots. Im pretty sure it would catch everything, but you really should try kmma's program, to be sure.
