Awhile back, I mentioned how I was working on a Kirk/Janeway time travel fan fiction. Well, for starters, I'm no writer. I don't think any author has anything to fear from me.
Secondly, I just can't seem to get Kirk/Janeway to work. I've had a long think about it and jotted several pages down. But I just can't seem to get Kirk and Janeway to interact.
Another idea was to have Kirk/Archer interact in a story where Archer travels forward in time. But I couldn't make that work either, both characters seemed to be overshadowing each other in my script.
So, it's Plan C!
Yep, TOS meets Superman. I am a big fan of Superman comics and always have been in addition to being a Trek fan.
I'm still working on it but the story goes like this (so far)...
Some near-omnipotent being (currently nameless) is creating universes and populating them with beings he has created. He is then using the beings for his own amusement. But he soon becomes bored with that and starts looking to change history in various periods of Earth history...
He really starts messing with the very fabric of time, at one point coming close to changing the course of WWII, almost giving Hitler victory...
Kirk and co. soon encounter the being who has unimaginable powers. He defeats Kirk and co. and sends them off to one of his own little universes where Kirk and co. are helpless to escape...
The being continues messing with the fabric of time and this attracts the attention of Superman circa 20th century, who decides to travel into space faster than he has ever done in order to investigate. Eventually, he ends up in the same universe that Kirk is trapped in and together they team up to try and save the universe...
It sounds bad, probably, and I won't do it unless I know it will be good. I've always wondered how a Superman/Kirk crossover would go, so hopefully, I can come up with something. But I'm no writer so this will be hard.
At least other people's fan fiction is always a blast to read...
