Thu Apr 08, 2004 9:13 pm Would you care if Sisko got killed by the Maquis? |
|
I know I wouldn't. Last episode I watched, he polluted a whole planet that a colony of Maquis were settled on, and made it uninhabitable for fifty years!
How unfair is that!
I feel for the Maquis ... the Cardassians are cruel!
Sisko doesn't understand very well!
People were kicked off their planets, out of their homes! All because of a peace treaty. Okay, it's important, but now they have rebellious groups, The Maquis to deal with!
Stupid Sisko! Sorry if you like Sisko, but that's just the way I feel about it!
Go the Maquis!
In Voyager, when they made contact to Earth via this old communications system where they met the Hyrodgen (Sp?) Chakotay got a letter saying the Maquis had been destroyed.
DAMN YOU CARDASSIANS!!!

Sisko's action was certain a moral grey area. However, not all the Maquis are like those who were on Chakotay's ship. They are terrorists by their very nature-----it just so happens that Chakotay didn't allow any of the more extreme members on his crew.
Sisko's decision was questionable, its true, but I believe it was the only one he could make under the circumstances.

I would definetly care if sisko got killed I mean sure he killed all those maquis, but think of all the people the maquis could or would have killed if sisko had not stopped that man. Even if those other people dieing would have been Cardies.

But I support the Maquis.
their lands, no, worlds, were given over to the cardassians! They didn't have a say!
I really don't care if they are terrorists.
They rule!

You seem to be missing the context of the episode. Eddington had just poisoned a Cardassian colony, and that wasn't the first thing he'd done, either. He had to be stopped.
And Sisko stopped him the only way that presented itself.
Heck, he did give the Maquis colony plenty or warning. I doubt anyone died because of Sisko's actions.

Personally, i woudn't mind if Sisko got killed by the Maquis.
Like 'voyager rules' i support the Maquis.
Sisko shouldn't have made the decission to make that Maquis settlement uninhabitable for over 50 years! It's wrong and most likely against Starfleet protocall.

You see, the only reason that the Maquis didn't move to leave the planet was because, hey, Siskos Starfleet. Starfleet has rules and protocals. he can't do that kind of thing. But he did. It wasn't that he didn't give them warning, it was the Fedeeration that kept them on the ground, but, you see, I like the Federation, so this makes it all confusing!

Ah yes, but Lindley, It was the Cardassians that took their homeland!
