I will do most of the beta reading, but several other people from my school who are insterested in different serieses (such as non sci-fi or other sci-fi topics) will be doing some beta reading on these stories.

I hope you can beta read better than you spell, since one of the qualities needed to be a beta reader is to be able to spot mistakes 
|

Haha. Actually, from experience, I've found that most people who beta read are bad spellers. And as the computers have very sophisticated spell checkers, you need not be good at spelling to produce a story that has no spelling errors in it!
Most of the beta reading is actually fixing mistakes in the story, or correcting things that go against the flow of the series, and to correct grammar mistakes.
