PostSat Dec 13, 2003 2:24 pm    Episode 3 VS Episode 4

Hi folks,
I was thinking of conducting a semi-regular poll matching the various TNG episodes against each other. It'll be interesting I think.

If I were to be pedantic, I could do the first poll as "Encounter at Farpoint" Part 1 VS "Encounter at Farpoint" Part 2. But I see no point in such a poll as they're essentially the same adventure and some people may well have seen the episodes as a TV movie rather than as two episodes.

So, the first poll will be "The Naked Now" VS "Code of Honor". Which one do you like better? And why?

Look forward to your views.

Stephen

I voted for "Code of Honor".

"The Naked Now" was okay but it was obviously a rehash of the Original Series episode with the same theme. It didn't do much for me at the time, seeing the third episode of a new series emulating an earlier adventure from the Original Series.

Besides, I thought "Code of Honor" was excellent. I always liked Tasha Yar and was sad she didn't stay with the show. This was a good episode to showcase her talent and very exciting.

?

That was just Yar...Oh yeah, and Beverly...maybe some other people...

I was thinking about how Wesley took over engineering, the chief guy played with the isolinear chips, and Data played a game putting them back in!

Hi, it was actually "Skin of Evil" where the great Tasha Yar died. And it was unexpected, one of those things that happened in the days before internet spoilers or sci-fi magazines such as TV Zone or Cult Times revealed deaths of TV characters.

'The Naked Now'. Even though I have no idea what it means, the crew goes all weird, so I just gotta love that.

'The Naked Now'

Not only a great homage to TOS's 'The Naked Time' (That series 3rd episode) but Data got some too!

lol nah they were both terrible, especially Code of Honour because it was tryin to be the original series, aaaah. (Tho, i like the original series i didnt expect it from TNG).

TNG was still the best series but season 1 was a bit iffy.
