How would Captain Kirk have handled DSN?

Over on the TNG forum, I asked how Kirk would have handled being in command of the TNG crew.

Let's imagine that Kirk somehow ended up in the future and decided to stay there. Let's take a bigger leap of the imagination and imagine that Starfleet ask Kirk to take command of DSN. How do you think he would do?

I think it'd be hard for Kirk, as he's more used to travelling the galaxy and being in control of a starship. Commanding a station isn't for Kirk!

But, let's assume he's given the assignment...

(BTW, Kirk is my favourite Trek Captain ever and I've always wondered how he'd have handled situations before and after his time)

1.) I think Kirk and Odo would probably become good allies who think pretty much the same. I think Kirk would come to have a lot of respect for Odo and vice versa.

2.) Kirk and Bashir-no way! Too much of a personality clash. IMO.

3.) Not too sure about Kirk and O' Brien. Theories, anyone?

4.) Quark would not stand a chance with Kirk on board. Any nonsense and Kirk would kick Quark's dishonest butt all the way back to the Ferengi homeworld. I think Quark would be pretty fearful of Kirk.

5.) Kirk would probaly eventually get on with Kira but not without some tense moments in their working relationship.

6.) Kirk and Jadzia Dax would get it on. And soon.

7.) Kirk would NEVER trust a Klingon. So poor old Worf wouldn't stand a chance of proving himself.

8.) Kirk would not have an easy time against The Dominion. He'd probably find them the hardest opponents he'd ever battled. But he'd succeed...eventually!

Overall, Kirk wouldn't enjoy being on DSN and this would probably cause a bit of tension between him and some of the crewmembers.

He'd probably have a quiet word with Chief O' Brien and ask him to modify DSN into a starship.

1)Kirk would have a mutiny on his hands the first week from all the disagreements with the crew members.

2)Kirk would start fights with the klingons in quarks bar and be threatened and jumped.As bodies are flying around you can hear kirk say:"I wish i hand a hand phaser or a good solid club" lol

3)Kirk would argue and dishonor martok and his battle strategy against the dominion and find himself and the station being attacked by klingon warships and a possible war against the federation.

4)If he survived everything i think kirk would transfer off the station and hijack a freighter and get caught in klingon space and get sentenced to ora pente again his familiar home.
