Chakotay leaves and goes to sick-bay.
“Computer activate EMH.”
Please state the nature of the medical emergency. Oh it’s you commander is there a problem?
“Yes. I want you to scan Captain Janeway and find out what’s wrong with her.”

Chapter 2: Unsolved Sickness

No ma’am, but I believe it might have something to do with why our crewmembers were transported back.

One. A small vessel. It will be out of scanners in 2 days.
“Hail them. Ask if they have any clue about the planet.”
Yes ma’am. Oh and captain..

Get some sleep.

“Chakotay. When you arrived were they in a battle with anyone?”
-Well Mr. Chakotay yes they were. I believe it was with a race called...... ‘Hirogen sir.’ Ah! Yes Hirogen. They seemed like mean men. We also traded with them.-
“What did they buy?”
-Alot. Mostly guns and torpedo’s.-
“The Hirogen are very dangerous men. They start a hunt and they will keep hunting until their dead or you are.”

Screw the prime directive! The Hirogen will kill all of those innocent people!

Chakotay don’t push it! I only have 1 more day of being away.

“No. The crew will definitely suspect something!”
Fine. I’ll sleep another hour how about that?

“12 AM. Still on for that shift?”
Give me a little while to get dressed. Janeway fell flat on her face and wrapped the covers around her.

“Chakotay!,” Kathryn said with a huge smile.
“We need to go. ,” He sighed. , “Dinner tonight?”
“Ok,” She replied happily. They left on their way to the bridge.....................................

“Chakotay!,” Kathryn screamed. Chakotay looked down at her laying on the bio-bed.
“Contractions getting worse?,” He asked.
“Where is the *beep* doctor!!!! ,” She screamed.
“He’s coming. Our ---------- chose the perfect time to be born!”
“Go to the bridge Chakotay. Tell them I’ll be there as soon as I can. Try to keep the Hirogen off the planet for a while.”
“Yes ma’am”

New reader alert! ~ I really liked that, esp. the J/C aspect. It was very quick, but still good. So...where is book two????

Ok peeps heres so far what I have of book 2:

Book Number 2

Chapter One: Accident

Chakotay walked onto the bridge after a long nights sleep rudely interrupted by Tuvok calling senior officers to the bridge.

“Kathryn?,” Chakotay asked.
“Hirogen decided to attack the planet again.”
“But were 3 lightyears away?,” He said confused.
“Yes. But we have to help the planet. At least until B’Elanna gets that shield made.”
Chakotay sighed. B’Elanna wasn’t going to have the shield done for at least a week since she announced she was 5 months pregnant she’s had 13 false alarms and over 20 “Break-up’s” with Tom. Each turning into her appearing at his door at 0500 hrs. He could set his watch by the time she beeped in every night.
“Chakotay?,” Kathryn asked breaking his thoughts.
“Yes'm?,” He asked.
“Are you going to sit down or think all day?”
“Sorry,” He said taking a seat.
“Don’t be.,” She replied., “Tom ETA?”
“5 minutes,” Tom said from helm. The ship violently shaked knocking everyone from their seat. The lights on the bridge went out then flickered on again.
“Tom?,” Janeway asked from the floor,
“We took a lot of damage. I need to make an emergency landing.”
“Do it quick!,” She cried out in pain.
“Kathryn?!?,” Chakotay yelled.
“I’m ok.,” She sighed heavily. But Chakotay didn’t hear her. He had a tingle go through his body then he passed out cold.
“Chakotay? ,” Kathryn asked nervously. -Why the *beep* are the backup lights so dark?!?- She thought to herself. Suddenly the lights came back on and everyone gasped at the sight of Chakotay. He was passed out white as a piece of paper and had a piece of metal over his back.
“Chakotay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” Kathryn screamed., “Help him!” Tom and Tuvok jumped up and ran over to Chakotay.
“Tom?,” Kathryn asked nervously.
“He needs to go to sick bay right away! He might have a broken back.,” Tom said sadly.

“Nice to hear your voice captain.,” The doctor said.
“It is? Why?,” Kathryn asked suspiciously.
“Well all levels had checked in with or without injuries. How is it up there?”
“A few scratches but Chakotay’s the worst. We need to get him to sick-bay now!!!”
“Bring him quick! Doctor out.”-/\-
“Tom Tuvok help me carry him down.,” Janeway said.
“Actually captain it might be safer to transport him.,” Tom cut in.
“Fine! -/\- Janeway to transporter room 1 transport me and commander Chakotay to sick-bay immediately! Janeway out.-/\-”
When they appeared the doctor didn’t ask any questions until later.
“Doctor?,” Kathryn asked nervously.
“He should be ok after a while.,” The doctor said staring at his scanner.
“I’ll be in engineering.,” Kathryn said with a sigh.
“Ok. Call me if you have any problems.,” The doc. said not looking up. Kathryn left then.
ENGINEERING***
Kathryn walked in and took a deep breath. The warp core was verily lit and everyone was sprawled on the floor. Some were walking around scanning the others.
“What happened?!?,” Janeway asked startling everyone.
“Well.. Uh when the ship shook a lot the counsels exploded. We tried contacting sick-bay but our com badges were broken. Everyone fell down.,” A Lt. said.
“Well. I can call sick-bay.,” Kathryn said reaching for her com badge.
“NO!,” Everyone yelled grabbing her com badge and breaking it.
“What was that for?!?!?!!,” She asked angrily. The Lt. took a deep breath.
“If we try to help them the aliens will set off the bombs.”
“What bombs?!,” Kathryn screamed. The Lt. Pulled open his shirt showing a explosive attached by a metal bar that went around his waist.
“Does everyone have one?,” She asked nervously.
“Everyone but you.,” A ensign behind her replied. Kathryn jumped and turned around.
“No!,” She yelled because the Ensign was holding a bomb.
“Yes.,” He said and she was instantly grabbed by a few crewmembers., “I’m sorry captain but anyone who comes in does not go out without a bomb.” Janeway tries to get away but was unable to. Finally the crewmembers got tired of waiting for her to calm down and put her to sleep with a hypo spray. When she woke up again she was lying against the wall. She had and instinct to feel her stomach and felt the coldness of medal. She looked around and didn’t see anyone. She got up and walked to the door.
“I wouldn’t try it.,” Someone said from behind her. She jumped then turned around.
“And why not?,” She screamed at the Lt. Commander in front of her.
“Because this is the safest place.,” He replied skittishly.
“What?,” She said confused. Just then the door opened and a crewmember who helped get the bomb on her appeared. Chakotay was holding onto him.
“Chakotay..,” She said softly.
“He’ll be OK. If we can get the doctor back online...,” The ship suddenly shuddered then the lights went out. Suddenly an energy surge brought main power back online.
“Can someone tell me what the hell is going on!?,” Kathryn practically screamed.
“Were under attack. For the past 3 days you have been knocked out. Over 35 crewmembers are dead that we know of...”
“36,” Somebody said.
“36.. And the planet isn’t helping us to protect them. They assume we are to protect them and they don’t need to protect us.”
“Who’s all dead?,” Janeway asked.
“Mostly 13th floor crewmembers that are so smashed up we can’t identify. Only 3 were.,” The crewmember said.
“Who?,” Janeway asked again.
“Lt. Buggard, Lt. Commander Chillum, and Ensign Potash.,” He said Ensign Potash sadly.
“You knew Ensign Potash?,” Janeway asked.
“Yeah. She was my girl.,” He said.
“I’m sorry.,” Janeway said,
“Sorry for what? For getting us lost and killing our friends? Or for getting us lost and throwing away the prime directive?!,” The Lt. Commander screamed.
“That’s enough!,” Janeway heard a rather familiar voice say.
“Tom?,” Janeway asked wiping away tears.
“It’ll be ok ma’am. Tal leave and do what Chakotay told you! NOW!,” Tom practically screamed. Tal left.
“Tom...Where is Chakotay?,” Kathryn asked.
“He’s in the cargo bay. The temporary sick bay.,” Tom sighed.
“What’s wrong Tom?,” Kathryn asked suspiciously.
“B’Elanna’s not doing to good. She refuses to go to sick bay though,,” Tom said sadly.
“What’s wrong with her?,” Janeway questioned.
“I’m not to sure. I think she might just be tired. But if we cant get the doctor online she might have problems with the pregnancy.,” Tom said gloomily.
