Don't know if many people will know of him, but he was the reigning British Superbike Champion, and a hero in the town where I grew up in.
Yesterday he died in a helicopter crash outside Hawick (above mentioned town). He was alone when it happened.
Just thought I'd mention it here incase anyone wants to add anything.
RIP Steve Hislop.
