All Anime rules. In fact, I enjoy the things that Japan turns out so much, I'm going to move there when I grow up.

Anime is really cool. when you think about it, they make some anime almost seem like real life.

I don't like it much. Then again, I don't really like any form of cartoons anymore.

Anime is not like cartoons.

In Cartoons when one of them is shot, it seems to bounce back or pass through and not hurt them. Also when they use bombs the blow up and only are hurt a little.

In Anime, when a person is shot or blown up they die... either that or their body gets turned into a mechanical cyborg that kicks major a*s

Anime is like cartoons except that...

-They have better drawing.

-They have much better plot.

-They are closer to reality than cartoons.

-All the characters arent either completely stupid or jacka**es.

You need to realise anime isn't all sci fi and fantasy. Anime comes in all shapes and forms.

I like anime. My favorite series is either cowboy bepop, neon genesis evangilon, or trigun.

If you really like anime FAZ you should join www.animenation.com

As a general rule anime is japanese and cartoons are american. But when you get down and dirty Anime is more sophisticated and mature.

Not all of the time, many Anime are directed towards the younger age groups.

Very true Kerry. My idea is that Anime has more depth than cartoons. Cartoons tend to have little or no plot or storyline. They just continue on a basic theme (i.e. The coyote chasing the road runner). Anime tends to have a storyline and continuity. And while some is oriented towards younger age groups, even those have considerably more depth in characters, plot, and story than your typical cartoon.

Anime isn't, in their minds, mature... But you need to remember things we think are mature here in the U.S. are alright in Japan.

For those who have seen "Ghost in the Shell" Here in the U.S Parents whouldn't let their kids watch that. But opver in Japan kids 5+ are watching it and the parents don't have a problem with it.

Well, what i meant was. Even when you do direct it at younger kids it's more mature then the level of maturity the kids in the US are watching. In japan kids watch anime like Dragonball Z. While in the US kids watch shows that are more like Barney.

The people in the US grow up more slowly than in many other places. Our education programs pale in comparison to most other countries'.

In certain aspects Americans seem to mature faster then Asians and vice versa.

worse drawings, they twitch when they stand still

how is the plot better than the simpsons or King of the Hill?

king of the hill is closer to reality then mech flying robot wars

the characters suck

Which anime were you watching where they were twitching? None of the anime's I've seen have had problems like that. Unless it was DBZ, which is a crappy example of anime. If someone has never seen anime before and watches DBZ, they will probably assume that all anime is as badly done as DBZ.
King of the hill is like a real-life sitcom, except that it is animated. The plot is okay, but it can never get into really heart-wrenching plot lines. Simpsons are hilarious, dont get me wrong, but if you are looking for something serious they just dont cut it.

Okay, I should drop point three... Anime can get just as off-base with reality as cartoons. Things like that are generally better explained in anime though.
