It would be cool to see the Borg at an earlier stage.

^True, but I for one hope they keep the Borg out.
I actually came up with a way to possibly include the Borg without violating continuity. I posted it over at TrekBBS.......I may make it into a fanfic.

Hmm, if you do, tell us, and we'll be sure to read it.
I would also prefer that the Borg aren't on Enterprise--they've been the near omnipotent villian in almost every Trek but TOS, and I think it's become a tad overplayed. Time to explore new horizons, and new scary species!

I doubt the Borg will show up. They are still in the delta quadrant. Maybe they haven't even started mechanizing themselves yet; who knows? Whether we see them or not though, they will forever rule.

Thu Sep 19, 2002 2:31 pm The start of the BORG!! |
|
If we saw the borg It should explain how the first Borg was created this series is an excellent chance to clear alot of questions up, but to avoid complications the ENTERPRISE Crew should not come into much contact with them!! [/img]http://www.startrek.com/content/Photo/BorgQueen_sm.jpg[img][/img]

It would be too repetitive for the Borg to show up all the time. And they weren't in DS9 either.
Wwe need more baddies.

The Borg couldnt show up as there still in the delta quadrent and first contact with them is not made till the next generation. Also they couldnt show the begginings of borg as there beggining go centuries further back than the Enterprise crew.
well I remember there was some continuity error between TNG and VOY over the first contact with the Borg. About whether the Raven found the Borg before Enterprise or something. I can't really remember it at all...perhaps I imagined it lol...but neway I think it would be cool but I don't think they should do ti simply because it would screw alot of things up continuity-wise. AND they have been in 3 different series already so I guess they are kinda getting repetitive.....In a way I think the Sulibans are just as cool however.

It would irredeamably screw up the timeline. Yes, there was some confusion as to whether the Federation knew about the USS Raven's contact with the Borg, but that's a question of 10 years or so. If they showed up on ENT, that would be *200* years before they're supposed to be there---and you can't explain that away.

Even if there wasn't a problem with the timeline, the writers of ENT would not put the Borg in because they were in TNG AND VOY.
It's just boring having the same baddies over and over and over

It'd be neat to see the Borg on Enterprise. But, sadly, it won't happen.

They couldn't possibly put on the borg, but what if they encountered Q? Okay, maybe not Picard and Janeway's Q, but simply a Q.

I agree, the Enterprise humans' technology is waaaaaay too primitive for the Borg.

But think of this. The Enterprise's technology is way too primative for the borg that showed up in Voyager and TNG. But since the show is based in the past that means whatever technology the borg have will also be quite primative. This is the way I think an episode should go. Enterprise runs into some people who want to create the perfect organization who will do. (heres the writers part to fill in what happens). At the conclusion of the episode something happens and they are blasted into the delta quadrant.

but the borg exsist in the delta quadrant some 900 years before voyager, and again in first contact it is mentioned the borg are only in the delta quadrant? this means that they would have to be 'blasted' into the alpha quadrant and at the end 'blasted' back again?? believe me, putting borg on enterprise is a bad idea!
