I was considering buying the wrath of kahn special edition dvd set, but can some one tell me if its the completely uncut version or is it edited?

Nice and uncut. I have it myself. All the scenes that were dropped at the last minute back in 82' are here. Most of them are good scenes, in my view. The two scenes that establish the Scotty-Preston story are really good, and meaningful. Go cop this DVD from Best Buy, it's only $22.99 American.
