PostMon May 06, 2002 9:05 pm    New Stagazer books

Two new books from the Stargazer series have been released. Book one, Gauntlet and Book two, Progenitor. I have them both but am currently reading the Dominion War series...it'll be a while before I get to them though due to the fact that I bought several other books I have yet to read as well.

I have yet to buy them, but even if I did I still have:

Battle Of Betazed
Star Wars NJO: Balance Point
Eugenics War book 1

before I can think of reading more......

I read it and it was ok. It starts great very exciting very promising but then I felt it lost something. having said that I haven't read Valiant yet.

I suggest you try it and make you own mind up.

I went back to reading my Star Trek Voyager books.

^I know what you mean. MJF is trying to make this a series with *character* arcs, but in Gauntlet at least, he focuses on the characters so much that the *story* suffers.

The Battle of Betazed is pretty good I thought. I have The Eugenics War Book 1 to read. Do you know when Book 2 is released in paperback?

A few days before I buy it.

But seriously, it will probably be a few more months.

Having read the vallaint. and tried again to get into Gauntlet (MJF stargazer series) and drawn the same conclusion as last time I no this is one series I wont be reading in future.

Shame really because I enjoy MJF's other books.
