I've missed you.
Since the day I met you.
As if the walls of Jericho came crumbling down,
you opened my heart,
became my life,
my soul,
my very being.
And I've missed you since.

I've missed you.
Today as the golden rays peaked above the clouds.
Like how God shows his glory every morn and eve,
the drift of the golden brown leaf,
gentle and sweet you are,
I've missed you since.

I've missed you,
waking up in an empty bed.
Where you used to lay,
the warmth I cherish with me.
I've missed you today.

I've missed you,
every waking thought since.
We parted and I lost your face,
in the halls of my mind,
keeping you in the furthest of reach,
to keep that picture of innocents you've become.
My angel,
the only angel that I've ever wanted to keep.
I've missed you since that day.

I miss you,
no matter how hard I try to deny it.
With the thrill and chills of life,
it just doesn't seem as worth it without you,
the way you make me think of new ways to live,
life to fullest you'd used to say.
And now its an empty life,
since you've been away.
And I miss you.
