Mistakes

For so long I tried so hard
To keep to the rules I enforced
But I once made a mistake
And for that mistake I have to pay

I am truly sorry for it
I'd never do it again
But for this one mistake I made
No-one will trust me again

I've kept secrets for several years
And never said a word
But for this one mistake I made
I'll never be heard

I wish I could go back a few days
And not make my mistake
But unfortunately I can't do that
So I'll die for my mistake

OK, this is a piece I had published a few years ago... I'm surprised it ever made it!

Mr Tipping and Mr Moore

Mr Tipping and Mr Moore,
Aren't really normal that's for sure.
Mr Tipping not Mr Moore,
Robbed a supermarket store.
Not Mr Tipping but Mr Moore,
Decided to go against the law.
He robbed a bank and tried to hide,
But Mr Copper caught him from behind!

I won a competition to get this published in a book of poetry when I was twelve... it was an interesting book

Giving Up
Everytime I do something wrong I feel like giving up.
Everytime I get behind I feel like giving up.
Everytime I embarrass myself I feel like giving up.
When everything goes wrong for me I feel like giving up.

So I wonder what it is that kept me from giving up.
I've looked hard and can't find why I'm not giving up.
After contemplating this I found I'm not giving up.
I'm not giving up, I'm not giving up, I'm not giving up.

The reason was so simple, why I haven't given up.
I should've seen it before, why I haven't given up.
Love is the reason, why I haven't given up.
That is why, I've not given up.

Forever Friends

I have a friend I knew so well,
Who looks after me, and is swell,
But something happened for to him,
I stopped talking, and lost his kin.

I tell the truth, I think it was love,
But sometimes I feel that I've forgot.
Forgotten to tell him how I feel,
Before the time was to reveal.

I showed to him a letter I had,
From a friend from years past.
I said to him it was a joke,
But he took it seriously, and I'm broke.

He broke my heart, and I'm still not here,
I'm hovering overhead, and wishing him near.
But to take his life, as he took mine,
Would be the worst ever crime.
