That early episode where Torres is split into a Klingon and a human, and her Klingon self's captor kills one of her crewmates and grafts his face onto his head, to make himself more attractive to her, not expecting her to mind. That has to beat out every other Trek moment for being disturbing.

I don't remember Voyager ever being that freaky. But I would have to say that probly that Malon "already dead" thing would probly be the most. Or at least the most freakishly suspenseful maybe?

Andy Dick as an EMH2 in the Alpha Quadrant. Are they nuts? Judging how the The Doctor was when he was first activated and how EMH2 acted, I assume they chose these personalities so that the crew would NOT rely on these temporary medicial holograms for long term use.

Is it okay if I say Kathryn Janeway was the "freakiest thing" I saw on VOY?

Probably not when there are people who have a crush on her present, or when Neelix's cooking is also present. Either one might get offended. lol

I have to agree 100%! I'm not sure I'd be willing to try it, but then again, if I had no other option, I'd have to try it.

I think what was disturbing the most of that concept:

And perhaps you would prefer a bath.

I still say Neelix's cooking is worse though.

the freakiest thing for me was the whole character development of the holo doc. No offense meant to the doc fans (I myself am very fond of him), but a programme shouldn't try to become human. And if it really does, why does hit have to behave like an especially foolish specimen? Just think of the opera singing or his holo-affair in the Beowulf episode. I can't count how often I blushed for him behaving in such an embarrassing way.

Why does every series have to have someone who desperately tries to be a human*? Couldn't the humans become more humane instead?
Being a biologist and dealing with really amazing creatures every day, I simply can't share the writers' opinion that we are the crown of creation.

Spock and T'Pol trying to be humans? You're kidding, aren't you?
Let me remind you something very important: Star Trek is science-fiction. This term is composed of two distinct words: science and fiction. It means that its contents deal with something belonging to the scientific world, but also that these same contents are fictional, they're fantasy products. When you read a novel, or see a movie, your mind is subjected to what Coleridge called "suspension of disbelief". It means that, notwithstanding a part of you is conscious that the events taking place on the screen are not true, you are however able to put aside this consciusness - even for a short while - in order to enjoy the movie (or the book) in question. So, the fact that you're a scientist should have nothing to do with all this.
